Open until July 14th! I visited the Mokoron, Minkuru, and Toaran POP-UP SHOP [Odakyu Department Store]

I went to the POP-UP SHOP where Mokoron, Minkuru, and Toaran are all gathered.

This event is being held at the Odakyu Department Store Shinjuku branch, 7th floor event space, from Tuesday, July 8th to Monday, July 14th, 2025 (the final day ends at 5:00 PM), and admission is free.

Although the venue was compact, it was a space packed with the unique charm of these three cute characters. Cute merchandise was lined up in every corner, making it an irresistible space for anyone who has a favorite among them.

The three characters appearing this time each have different origins.

• "Toaran": Mascot of the Tokyo Sakura Tram (Toden Arakawa Line)

• "Mokoron": Odakyu's child-rearing support representative

• "Minkuru": Mascot of the Toei Bus

Among them, my favorite is "Minkuru," with its gentle green color, cute eyes, and wings for flying in the sky. My purpose for coming to this POP-UP SHOP was to look for Minkuru merchandise. I arrived at the venue around 10:30 AM, but it wasn't that crowded, and there was an atmosphere where you could look around at your own pace. I thought there would be many families, but I was surprised to see that younger visitors stood out. I realized that these characters are really resonating with the younger generation as well. Many people were carefully choosing their items before taking them to the register.

At the wool felt workshop, which was held by advance online reservation, I saw families trying their hand at making felt dolls of "Mokoron" and "Minkuru."
It was impressive to see everyone concentrating on their work with serious expressions, carefully finishing their respective characters.

What caught my eye at the venue was the extra-large Minkuru plush toy displayed in an acrylic case (limited to 15 pieces).
If I can welcome my favorite Minkuru in this size, I just have to enter the drawing...!
This plush toy is being sold by lottery, and the format involves filling out and dropping an application form into a special box set up at the venue.

The "Event Commemorative Mokoron, Minkuru, and Toaran Collaboration Acrylic Stand" shown in the photo still seemed to have stock remaining when I visited (morning of July 12th).
Although it is limited in quantity (400 pieces), there is a possibility you can still purchase it if you go on Saturday the 13th.

The Mokoron stickers given as a purchase gift also seemed to have stock remaining when I went. If you want the stickers, please go early.

There was a wide variety of Minkuru merchandise, including plush toys, slippers, coin purses, and handkerchiefs, all of which are easy to use in daily life.
What all these items have in common is that gentle, wide-eyed expression of Minkuru. Just looking at it is healing.

Mokoron merchandise also featured items that are easy to use in daily life.
The lineup is extensive, ranging from small bags and IC card-compatible pass cases to mascot keychains that you can hang on your bag, and even plush toys you'll want to decorate your room with.

The pass case, in particular, has a design that highlights Mokoron's round eyes, and it is designed to hold not only commuter passes but also small items, so it seems highly practical.
However, Mokoron's large ears might take up a little space? But even that is adorable. It's that kind of item.

Toaran's merchandise includes small bags, plush toys, and hand towels, a lineup that makes you want to decorate your room with them or take them out with you.
Personally, it's not my favorite, but I couldn't help but pick up the fluffy hand towel.
With a texture that seems soft and absorbent, it's an item that even those who aren't Toaran fans will want as a practical good.

At the venue, the display of Mokoron merchandise was particularly prominent.
There were many cute children's socks and colorful practical items, and I was impressed by the extensive lineup aimed at the child-rearing generation.
Odakyu's position as a "child-rearing support character" was well reflected in the merchandise development.

And finally, of course, I put my application form into the special lottery box, aiming for one of the 15 "Extra-Large Minkuru Plush Toys." Since there were quite a number of application forms in the box, it looks like the odds will be quite high. As a Minkuru fan, I really want to welcome it into my home. I can only pray that I win.

My loot this time includes a Minkuru plush toy, a handkerchief, a coin purse, and a Mokoron keychain. The handkerchief and coin purse have designs that are easy to use in daily life, and I want to use them carefully as everyday items.

I went to the POP-UP SHOP this time in search of my beloved "Minkuru," but I unexpectedly found myself drawn to the "Mokoron" and "Toaran" merchandise as well. It was tempting to buy everything in sight, but I held back.
