Design Ideas for Sharing Between Two People +

In my professional life, I have brought about many improvements by creating business designs that resolve current issues. Recently, I have encountered many cases where I am reminded that the extent of growth is significantly limited by the low metacognition of those on the 'receiving end' of these designs, and it is starting to stress me out😰

Now, this time, I will repost a simple thought experiment based on a common everyday scenario📖
Using the term 'problem solving' might make some people feel underwhelmed, but I don't think it's good to have only serious topics all the time, so I would like to present a slightly more 'relaxed' riddle-like story(^^)/

I have a son and a daughter. They are already in middle and high school, but when they were younger, it's not like they never fought💦

For example, there is one cream puff here.
I want the two children to share this, but how should I go about it?

As a parent, I want to guide them toward some kind of 'method' so that the children themselves can reach a mutual agreement.

◆Give it to two people on equal footing and have both sides divide it without dissatisfaction
◆It is difficult to cut it well
----- This is the main point.

Of course, this is not about using force or adjustment, but an 'inventive idea' to overcome a 'mini-dilemma'.

One person cuts, and the other chooses which piece they want.

You separate the right to divide from the right to choose. The point is to give each person authority so that neither has any complaints.

If you think, "It's impossible to cut it perfectly evenly, so the person who chooses has the advantage!" then why not cut it further into four pieces and take turns picking them? The "difference" will likely shrink even further 👍
*Let's leave aside issues like "I don't want to eat anything someone else has touched" for this discussion!

People who are effective at improving business operations or who handle household chores efficiently seem to be good at these kinds of thought problems as well 😲
