It is pronounced 'un-doo'.

I know 'un deux trois'! 💡
That's French. It means '1, 2, 3'. It's completely different from 'undo' 🙅

You know the English word 'do', right? It's a word with the negative prefix 'un-' attached to it. So, does it mean something like 'not do'?? 🤔

For people who use PCs in their work or daily life, this concept of 'UNDO' is surprisingly useful 😍

*However, I am exclusively a Windows user 🖥 Please understand that the following explanation is narrow-minded and does not take into account (consider) Macs, smartphones, etc. 🙇

For example.

While displaying icons, I didn't intend to change the file name, but I must have accidentally pressed a key, and the original display disappeared (was cleared)!

If you are in the middle of an edit (i.e., before pressing the 'Enter' key to confirm), some people 🙋 might know that you can follow the stable solution of calmly pressing the 'Esc' key.
*For those who are hearing this for the first time, first catch the 'Esc' strategy ✊

However, if you have gone one step further—that is, you have already confirmed it by pressing the 'Enter' key—it seems some people think it is 'irreversible' because 'Esc' no longer works 😨

After typing partway into a 'text input field' set within a browser, you might have a reason to switch to another application for a 'detour,' and when you return to the screen to continue typing, you accidentally start overwriting the existing text (which had suddenly become 'highlighted') 😭

It is called the 'Quick Access Toolbar', but it is familiar that a command (or equivalent function) with an arrow that looks like 'back' has existed in the top left of the screen since older versions, and many people know that 'if you press this, you can turn back time to the previous stage & you can sequentially go back many steps'.

This is the 'Undo' button, and I feel it has become established in Windows-related, especially 'office'-based applications.

Whether it followed suit, or whether Windows itself imitated something in the first place, the history does not matter, but this '↩'-style arrow is seen 'everywhere' in the world of PC work 🌎, and by clicking it, the same result
