Nice to meet you | Self-introduction

There is less than a month left in 2023.
I am writing my first post to achieve one of the things I left undone this year: "taking on the challenge of blogging."

The first article starts with the classic "self-introduction."

About me

I am a freelance designer &
a mother of two: a boy in third grade and a girl in her final year of kindergarten.

After graduating from vocational school, I joined a company that mainly creates and prints POP displays for supermarkets.
After that, I changed jobs to a web production company, but resigned when I became pregnant with my eldest son.
(I was only there for a little over a year, so I only scratched the surface of web skills. Just a nibble.)
From there, I turned freelance, and before I knew it, I have been doing it loosely for 10 years.
I mainly work on paper media such as business cards, flyers, and pamphlets.

I always create with the awareness of "conveying information clearly."Recently, the number of requests for help with SNS management has also been increasing.
In addition, I accept a wide range of work beyond design, such as website registration tasks, image part and manuscript creation, and proofreading.

▼ I have posted some of my work achievements on Instagram.

✒ Updated March 27, 2024
I have updated the article about my work, so please read this as well!

Things I like

1. Reading

I have loved reading books since I was a child.
I read all genres, including picture books, manga, novels, and business books.
However, I am embarrassed to say that even though I call myself a book lover, I often encounter books that I cannot fully understand...
I hope to become an adult who can eventually digest and internalize such books.

2. Making things

I also love making things like sewing and crafts.
I also like drawing!
However, it seems that "liking" and "being good at" are different, so I wonder... how is the finished product? (lol)

3. Notebook time

I am a self-proclaimed stationery girl.
I often end up buying stamps and stickers for my notebook under the pretext of "boosting my motivation."

I have tried various planners in the past, but for the last few years, I have settled on an original planner made by printing monthly calendars on loose-leaf paper.
I use a loose-leaf binder to centralize my schedule, children's matters, work, household accounts, reading notes, and diary.

I hope to write a detailed article about my planner as well.

Things I want to challenge in the future

Focusing on output!

I have vaguely realized it for a while now, but I have been living while pretending not to notice; I might be a person with "low" self-esteem.
I usually act cheerful and say "yay!", but deep down, there is always a "me who can't do anything" inside.
Although I wrote above that I like note-taking time, my perfectionist personality gets in the way, and for example, I am sometimes even afraid to write in my daily diary...

I don't put things out, I keep them warm, and warm, and warm them too much until I ruin them.

Ah, I think I'll stop doing this.
That's what I thought.

I should properly put things out.

Initially, I set a goal that if I were to start a blog, I would use WordPress and challenge myself from scratch, but with this personality, I feel like I will never be able to achieve it.
In that case, wouldn't it be better to utilize a wonderful platform like note and just try it out for now?

With that said, this is the first post of the things I want to challenge myself with.

There might be periods where I end up keeping things warm for too long again, but I will do my best to work steadily!
