Complete with Layer Styles! A Quick Tip for Editable, Living Text Decoration

This time, I will briefly introduce a quick tip regarding a convenient feature in Photoshop, "Layer Styles". At the end of the article, I have included a
PSD file with the actual layer styles applied, so if you are not quite sure how to make it, please download and use it.

How do you all create text with shadows like this?

I think some people rasterize the text layer and duplicate it to make a shadow.

But the era is all about non-destructive, easy-to-edit data creation!

I will teach you how to create 3D text while keeping it editable as a text layer!

Contents of the Layer Style

First, apply a Layer Style to the text layer. Please
double-click on the empty space of the text layer in the Layers panel.

The Layer Style panel will be displayed like this.

Check the layer style effects on the left side to add the layer styles.

First, use "Stroke" to create a white border and a dark-colored border.

Press the + mark next to the Stroke on the left side to stack the strokes.

Next, create the shadow part using "Drop Shadow".

With this, you can create 3D text like this.

Copying Layer Styles and applying them to various motifs

You can right-click the layer where you created the layer style, "Copy Layer Style", and then
"Paste Layer Style" onto other objects such as illustrations or text to reuse the layer style.

With this, you can apply a 3D-style text effect to an editable text layer.
