Under the midsummer sun
from the community center flower bed

Yesterday, at the community center,
we held our annual neighborhood association karaoke contest ♬
Since a friend was performing,

we five brought handmade fans to cheer them on
and decided to dance in the back...

The song was

DESIRE 🎶

For the past few days,
I have been secretly
practicing the dance on YouTube.

And then, the performance ✧*｡

With everyone from small children
to the young men of the Danjiri group
and the elderly
cheering us on,

I cast aside my embarrassment,
channeled my inner Akina,
and danced my heart out (lol)

This morning...
my knees hurt 🤣
