I was working in Kashihara, Nara today.

I had a sudden craving for some hearty local Chinese food, so I headed to this place.
There are several Aeon malls in the area, and I heard the 'world's largest Muji' is nearby too.

It's a restaurant in that kind of area that looks like it's truly loved by the locals.

Parking and restaurant atmosphere

There is parking in front of the restaurant, so access is no problem.

The interior has both counter and table seating,
making it easy to enter whether you're alone or in a group.

It has that reliable, comforting feel of a classic local Chinese restaurant.

Simple and easy-to-understand ordering

The great thing about this place is that ordering is simple.

This time, I ordered the
F Set (950 yen).

The contents are:
- Ramen
- Fried chicken (karaage)
- Shrimp tempura
- Rice

You can also choose the flavor of the ramen, so I went with tonkotsu.

It's nice that it's so straightforward, even for a first-timer.

Tasting the F Set (950 yen)

First of all, I'm surprised by the price of 950 yen for this much food.

The shrimp tempura and fried chicken arrived first, so I started by eating the rice with those.

The fried chicken is about the size of a fist.
It's quite impressive, and they come out in big chunks. Crispy, juicy, and delicious.

When I happened to look over the counter at the frying station,
I saw a 'fried chicken tower' looming, and I was immediately convinced.

'If this were a fried chicken set meal, there would be 5 or 6 pieces...'

I imagined, and it was enough to make me tremble a little.

Then the ramen arrived.

The flavor is simple, but it's very satisfying.
In this day and age, where many places charge 950 yen for just a bowl of ramen,
this set content and volume are very much appreciated.
