There are so many strawberries in the world.
Thank you to everyone who always watches.
Thank you for coming today too ๐
When you're at the supermarket looking at a pack of strawberries,
how many seconds do you spend choosing?
Probably about 3 seconds, right? Haha.
With a feeling like, 'This one looks red and delicious,' you just
pop it into your basket.
I was like that for a long time, too.
The bright red strawberries lined up at the supermarket ๐
I always pick them up casually,
and buy them with just a simple, 'Looks delicious.'
But actually...
There are countless varieties of strawberries in the world.
Did you know that there are over 300 varieties just in Japan?

New varieties are born almost every year,
and at this very moment, somewhere, someone is
trying to grow a new strawberry.
Some are very sweet.
Some have a bit of tartness.
Some are rich in aroma.
There are even pure white strawberries.
Just like people, each berry has its own personality.
Even though they are all 'strawberries,' their taste, shape, and aroma are different.
The more you know, the more interesting this world becomes, right?
And here is something else that surprised me about ๐.
Strawberries are very delicate fruits.
Too hot is no good.
Too cold is no good.
The amount of water.
The temperature.
The sunlight.
Even a slight difference can change their sweetness and shape.
That is why farmers grow them while checking on the strawberries every day.
Are you doing well today?
Are you growing properly?
There are people who treat them with such care,
facing each and every berry.
I think that the feeling of caring for someone
isn't just for special relationships.
In the one berry we are eating,
there is someone who heads to the greenhouse early in the morning.
Waking up while it's still dark,
putting on their boots,
and going to check the temperature of the greenhouse.
There are people who have repeated that kind of morning hundreds of times.
Through the hot summer.
Through the cold winter.
Taking care to ensure they don't get sick,
'I hope you grow up delicious again this year ๐'
They are grown with thoughts like that.
Although you can't usually see it,
beyond that one strawberry,
there is a lot of people's time and love.
Next time, if you have a day where you eat strawberries, try tasting them a little more slowly.
Instead of just popping them into your mouth like you usually do.
I want you to try chewing just one bite slowly.
'They were grown with so much care.'
If you eat them thinking that, your usual strawberries
might taste a little bit special.
Strawberries are not just fruit.
They are small gifts packed with the love of the people who make them.
In that one berry you are always eating,
someone's kindness is surely included.
Even if there is someone who has grown up
without feeling that kind of kindness.
I hope that today, even from that one berry,
you can feel what it's like to be 'cared for.'
That is how much someone's kindness
is much closer than you think.
Sweet.
Delicious.
Just that is very happy.
But, 'They were grown with so much care.'
If you eat them thinking that, your usual strawberries
might taste a little bit special.
Strawberries are not just fruit.
They are small gifts packed with the love of the people who make them.
In that one berry you are always eating,
someone's kindness is surely included.

Come back again.
Strawberry ๐
Be yourself love
