[Musings] That's just how people are.
That's right. People are simple.
It's kill or be killed.
...No. Mom doesn't like just being killed, so I'm going with the strategy of laughing it off.
Today at the office was as intense as ever.
The Devil President is still stuck in the Showa era today.
He was blowing his 'I'm the boss' whirlwind.
But that's okay. Because he's the president.
Mom has always had a weird sense of personal space with people.
No, it's not that I can't keep my distance. I just don't. lol
When the president is raging, I get suuuuper close.
'I see.'
'I understand.'
'Understood.'
Before I know it, I'm close enough to kiss him. lol
Then, something strange happens.
The president starts backing away.
I won! 🤣
This is Mom's style, the 'Weird Personal Space Strategy'.
It's a valid choice to distance yourself from people you don't get along with.
But if you absolutely have to deal with them, try being bold and getting close.
Like, really, really close! lol
Maybe people find it harder to attack when you're too close.
...I don't know, though. 🤣
The morning was peaceful because of that.
But.
The afternoon.
She appeared.
The senior office lady.
She cornered me and the capable girl.
'After the person who quit yesterday, you two are the next targets.'
She talked about that for about 30 minutes.
......Get back to work! 🤣
Halfway through, Mom started thinking,
'What is this person trying to say?'
'What is she trying to do?'
And I started 'Senior Watching'.
Then the capable girl said,
'Is that so?'
'That must be tough. 😢'
'You're amazing, Senior.'
A divine dribble.
She dodged the enemy brilliantly.
World Cup level. ⚽️ lol
The phone rang and it ended.
Afterward, the girl muttered,
'She's actually enjoying saying that we're the next targets.'
......What does that even mean? 🤣
Is she a Showa-era elementary schooler?
Isn't that not how adults are supposed to be?
Finding it amusing when someone quits, or getting excited about who's next.
Instead of that,
'How can we make this a better place to work?'
If even one more person thought like that, the company would be a much better place.
That's what Mom thinks.
So today, too,
I decided to increase my own happiness,
not someone else's misfortune.
100 jumps of jump rope.
I farted in the middle and laughed so hard I had to stop, though. 🤣
But I did 100 jumps.
Today, I beat yesterday's version of myself again.
Mom's hurdles?
They're incredibly low.
That's why I have lots of little victories every day. lol
I'm not envious or jealous of anything anyone else has.
It's not like that at all.
Jump!
Jump rope! lol
If you do, you'll find nothing but laughter in that sight.
