I managed to get the 'Shonen Jump' I had given up on!

I tried to buy 'Shonen Jump' as I always do.
At the bookstore attached to the supermarket, there was a sign that said, 'Customers without a reservation cannot purchase this.'
(Huh? What does that mean?)
When I asked my son, it seems it was because of the One Piece card included as a bound-in supplement.
Of course, it wasn't at the convenience store in the neighborhood either.

'They're selling it for 6,000 yen on Mercari... Those scalpers!' my son shouted.
When I suggested the digital version, he said...
He said the digital version doesn't convey the impact of the double-page spreads in the paper version.
I don't need the One Piece card or anything, so I wondered if there was some way to get just the magazine itself...

Maybe the old-fashioned bookstore that's somewhat nearby might have it.
It's in a location that's hard to get to, after all.
I searched for the bookstore to find their phone number.
That bookstore is a long-established shop, but they hold morning activities and it's a place where high-consciousness people gather.
They are also actively posting on social media.
I suddenly got curious and took a peek at their Instagram.
And then.
A photo of Jump!
It was a post from a day ago, saying, 'We can't hold or ship them, but we have them in stock.'
Seriously?
Anyway, let's go.
If it's just one copy, they might still have it!
I immediately headed there in a hurry on my way home from work.

I nervously asked the owner at the register.
'Do you still have Jump?'
'Yes, we do! How did you know?'
'I saw it on Instagram. It's sold out everywhere...'
'Oh, I'm glad I posted it on Instagram. ☺'

We talked about our thoughts regarding this recent commotion.
It's in a slightly inconvenient place, but.
Maybe I'll start going out of my way to buy from this bookstore from now on.
