Children grow at their own pace

To Myazu,

Good morning!

Yesterday, I was a very happy mother to see Ya-kun working so hard at soccer.

Of course, Ya-kun must have had his own motivation, but the coach's encouragement, which drew out that motivation even further, was wonderful.

"That's it!"
"Keep it up!"

With every word like that, the expressions on the children's faces changed.

I felt once again how powerful people's words can be.

I am truly grateful that there are people like the coach who watch over and support the growth of Myazu and the others, not just us parents.

Things that were forgiven when you were in the lower grades of elementary school because "you're still small" are starting to be expected of you more and more as you go up in grades.

I felt a little worried, so I talked to the coach about it.

Then,

"Ya-kun is growing properly in his own way. It's okay."

he said with a smile.

Hearing those words made my heart feel a little lighter.

Children are growing properly at their own pace, more than parents realize, aren't they?

I thought that I, too, would like to be the kind of person who can encourage Myazu and the others, just like the coach.
