What Lay Beyond the Courage
To Myazu,
Good morning!
Yesterday, we went as a family to take commemorative photos for Mii-chan's
graduation and entrance.
Remembering when she started elementary school,
I felt how fast time flies,
thinking about how quickly it all went by.
On the way home, Mii-chan said,
"I'm glad we moved here."
Before, she used to say she wanted to go back to Kanto,
or that her old school was better, but
now,
because of the environment where she can be free,
and the friends she met through soccer,
she said she was glad.
Since we moved here,
she had many worries about her friendships,
so I, as your mother, have always felt a weight on my heart,
wondering if I had made you go through a painful experience.
But hearing those words,
I felt relieved.
Taking the leap into a new environment
takes a lot of courage.
But I believe that someone who accumulates such experiences
will surely become strong at heart.
I hope that Mii-chan
will become a person with that kind of strength,
is what your mother wishes for you.
