【The Trap of New Gear】The Invisible Enemy Lurking at Your Neck! A Life-or-Death Struggle with 'Itchy Tags' on Clothes
Good evening, this is Captain rinrin.
Everyone, a new week has begun, and I truly appreciate all your hard work navigating the rough seas of your daily lives.
When you put on a new treasure (piece of clothing) you've just acquired, it feels refreshing and exciting, doesn't it? But sometimes, a terrifying ambush lies in wait, ready to blow that cheerful mood away in an instant.
In today's log, I'd like to record the small but fierce battle that took place at my neck.
The Identity of the Invisible Enemy Lurking at the Neck

Today, I wore some new gear (clothes) for the first time in a while. I looked sharp in the mirror and thought, 'Alright, I'm ready to head out to sea with pride today!' but that feeling didn't last long.
…Prick.
I felt something sharp touching the back of my neck. Was it a bug!? I panicked and checked, only to find it was the 'laundry instruction tag' sewn into my new clothes.
What on earth is that hard, overly assertive material made of? It's like a tiny needle, mercilessly attacking my neck every time I move.
With Scissors in Hand. A Clumsy Extermination Battle

At first, I took it lightly, thinking, 'Well, I can probably put up with this...' But even while I was at the helm (working), every time I turned around, it would prick and poke. Gradually, it became so distracting that I couldn't focus on my voyage at all.
Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and pulled a weapon (scissors) from a drawer at my base (home). I went in with the blades, thinking, 'Take that, I'll cut you off!' but because I'm clumsy, I ended up leaving a tiny bit of the hard base behind.
This created a tragedy where it poked into my skin even more sharply than before I cut it.
A Restored Neck and a New Lesson

In the end, I had to pull out a specialized weapon called a seam ripper (sewing tool) to carefully undo the threads and remove it completely.
After a few minutes of struggling, the dreadful itchiness vanished from my neck, and finally, complete peace arrived. Ah, what a sense of relief...!
Clothing tags are allies that provide important information (laundry instructions) to protect our voyage, but sometimes they can bare their fangs like this. It was a day where I swore to myself that next time I get new gear, I will always perform a 'neck safety check' before heading out to sea.
Everyone, please be careful of the invisible enemy at your neck. May tomorrow be a wonderful voyage for all of you... Cheers! 🥃✨
