[Johari Window] Don't get hung up on 'being yourself'
Hello!
I'm Dai, a supporter for first-time homeroom teachers!
I mainly post about the theme of 'school education'.
□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□
1. People interested in 'education' in general
2. People who have worries or anxieties about 'education'
3. (Therefore) People who lack confidence and are struggling without comrades
4. People who want to be themselves
□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□□
For those people,
I will share valuable learning
that I have invested in and gained up to now
on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays,
three times a week.
I will post while interweaving paid articles.
There is plenty of useful learning
even in the free sections,
so
please stay with me until the end.
I am posting on X.
The 'Dai Account'
is also on X.

I post every morning at 4:30 AM.
At the beginning of March,
since I started participating in
'Neko-katsu' (Cat Activity)organized by Nao Kurosaki,
my follower count grew rapidly,
increasing by nearly 400 people in about three weeks in March.
(Thank you!)

It is my routine to schedule posts
for several days at once,
and recently, the exchange of comments has become active,
which makes me very happy.
And, just between us,
the post I'm planning to publish tomorrow...
When I came up with the content,
'This is amazing!'
I praised myself for it; it's a work I'm confident in.
Please read it.
What do you think (lol)?
The era is genderless.
Words like 'masculinity' and 'femininity' are
grossly anachronistic.
Doesn't that mean there's no need to be bound by 'being yourself'?
'Yourself' is more flexible than you think,
and unexpected talents can bloom.
First, let's hang in there where we are now
and try working as hard as we can.
#MorningGreetingsFromTeacherAccounts
Isn't that great? (lol)?
When I was a high school teacher,
I always felt that my students were
becoming genderless.
Whether it was the baseball team or the soccer team,
regardless of being a sports club,
they were making cute handmade gifts,
and even wrapping them!
They have returns for the girls, but
it seems they are also exchanging them among the boys.
This is a scene that would have been unthinkable when I was a high school student.
(In the first place, I didn't even get any, sob)
The other day, our school's dance club
had a live performance.
What was impressive was that
several male students who had been learning dance since they were little
joined the female students
and danced to TWICE's "TT".
They wore skirts
and performed with gestures and expressions
just like women, without any sense of discomfort.
(Omitted)
It felt like the boys were just naturally, normally "trying out" being girls.
Even high school boys
enjoy handmade gifts for White Day,
and they'll even dance to cute "TWICE" songs.
The reverse is also true, isn't it?
Even among female students,
girls with a spirit like a samurai,
are definitely increasing, and
when they do cavalry battles or tug-of-war at the sports festival,
it's always the girls who get into
intense physical combat,
and there are more moments where I think,
aren't the girls the ones with more guts?
Isn't the word "effeminate"
actually meant for boys?
Or something like that...
Don't you often feel that way?
In short,
the terms "masculinity" and "femininity"
are terribly ambiguous.
Don't chase after "being yourself" too much
Now, to take a leap in the conversation,
the phrase "being yourself".
I also suspect that this guy
is a pretty suspicious term.
I'm not denying "being yourself".
It's true that if you aren't "being yourself",
you'll feel mentally burdened,
and if you aren't "being yourself",
you can't enjoy life.
I also always
work while wanting to be "myself",
and I am writing this note.
However,
'being yourself' is
not something you decide for yourself, is it? That is the
main point I want to convey this time.
The 'Johari Window' is
a thing, right??

If you cling to 'being yourself' on your own,
you end up only within the 'Open Window',
which is a waste.
In fact,
you might arbitrarily (self-righteously)
feel self-reproach or guilt in the 'Hidden Window',,
and even though the other person wants you,
you might end up self-deprecating too much
and creating distance. It could
happen.
Let's open the Blind Spot and Unknown windows.
From here on,
it becomes a story about my personal stance.
I don't pick and choose my work.
I am usually conscious of this.
Rather,
when an offer comes from someone,
'Maybe my window will open again here,'
with that kind of light expectation,
it feels better for both me and the other person
to readily accept the work.
Of course,
don't overdo it.
It doesn't mean
you should become a 'yes man' for everything.
Offers and
unexpected events
might be the
trigger
for your 'Blind Spot' and 'Unknown' windows to open.
I feel that
approaching work with that mindset
will make you happier in the long run.
This story
is not limited to employees.
Entrepreneurs, presidents,
and freelancers too,
should be a series of
unexpected events and surprising offers.
Therefore,
if you cling to 'being yourself',
within a narrow vessel,
you will gradually become impoverished,
and eventually, you will become isolated.
Perhaps,
'being yourself'
is worth much, much more
than you think.
Just like high school boys
enjoying White Day,
or dancing the 'TT' dance,
in our work as well,
let's make everything
fuel to expand
'being yourself'!!
Those who open their own windows open others' windows too
And,
something I really want you to know if you are involved in education.
Only those who
open their own windows
can confidently open
the 'blind spot window' and 'unknown window' of others.
Isn't there someone around you
who is self-contained and sulking?
It might be you
who opens up the potential
of such a person!!
Well then.
Thank you
for reading until the end.
For those who are
anxious or worried about how to interact with students
I have started an official LINE account

'I'm glad I became a teacher!'
'My students don't listen to me at all,'

for those who have
these kinds of worries,
I am sending out regular content
so that you can say,
