Supporting Others is Wonderful: Surprising Connections Born from Eccentric Behavior
I was able to successfully hold the workshop I announced the other day.
Customers gathered, and I felt relieved to be welcomed in such a warm atmosphere.
Moreover, thanks to the kindness of the venue owner,
it has been decided that we will continue tomorrow
to hold a talk event about pine needles and arch sandals.
(The instructor is also well-versed in the history and uses of pine needles.)
Honestly, I am surprised by this speed...
In the first place, I suddenly left home last month for an unexpected reason (lol),
and while staying for one night in Fukuoka, where I headed without a plan, I suddenly thought of
contacting someone in Saga whom I had met once in Tokyo about three years ago,
which led to me staying a few nights at their shared space,
and that is where I happened to meet this person.
Since they are coming to Hyogo for an event I am hosting in May,
I imposed on them to also come to Okayama.
(And, when I participated in the Hyogo event,
I ended up reuniting with the owner of the shared space in Saga as well.)
It is a story that feels like a miracle, yet somehow feels so natural.
Eccentric behavior pays off.
You never know how things will connect.
Taking action really does change your life.
The instructor herself is quite the person
for attracting connections,
and I think we are the type of people who influence each other positively
and connect horizontally.
Regarding the arch sandals,
now that I have heard the details this time,
・They are "foot-development sandals" that can be used from toddlers to the elderly.
・They fit your feet more and more as you wear them.
・Just wearing them can cure foot problems (flat feet, bunions, etc.).
(It seems feet can improve at any age.)
・By correcting how you use your feet, your breathing also becomes regulated.
・When the way you use your body changes, your mind also improves, such as a shut-in person eventually entering a marathon.
・They are amphibious, and some people use them for marathons and mountain climbing.
・The materials are high quality, so they can easily last about three years.
And so on... they seem to be quite excellent.
The quality of the product, the developer's thoughts, and the instructor's passion all come through.
I actually had one pair made for myself, and when I tried wearing them, they were quite good.
・My feet feel very light and it is easy to walk.
・I am using foot muscles I had not used before.
・Come to think of it, my feet are not tired.
When I actually tried running, walking on fields (uneven soil), sandboxes in parks, asphalt, and driving,
I felt that they fit each location,
allowed me to walk without strain, and I could firmly
sense the unevenness with my feet.
The only drawback is that since you use them barefoot, you get bitten by insects.
(Using them with socks is also fine.)
Since they are also for "foot development,"
I had them made for my daughters, and they are already running around in them.
The arch sandals are still new,
and it seems she is the only person who can make them west of Aichi,
so I was actually given a very rare opportunity.
I have a feeling that this connection will continue and she will be able to
come to the Okayama area again.
Things are developing quickly.
