Dancer Skill, Other Category Skill, Table B
■ Skill Explanation
The Dancer skill is a skill that allows you to perform various dances to match a Bard's melodies, supporting allies or utilizing those movements to assist in melee combat.
When you acquire the Dancer skill, you can perform the following check:
・Dance Check
Base Value: (Dancer Skill Level + Dexterity Bonus)
Required Time: Instant
Explanation: This is the check used when performing a dance as a main action.
■ Conditions for Using Dances
There are no restrictions on the race that can use dances.
They cannot be activated during a full move, nor can they be activated while mounted or being carried.
You must equip the accessory <Lace-up Corset> (BM, p. 84) or the original accessory <Dancer's Bells> (Equipment Slot: Waist, 100G, no effect).
■ Using Dances
Some dances can be used as a main action and some as a minor action, but among those that can be used as a main action, you can only use one per turn. (Increasing your main actions does not change this.)
When using a dance as a minor action, you do not perform a Dance check.
Some skills can also be used during combat preparation. The method of use at this time is equivalent to a minor action.
Using a dance may consume musical elements (楽素), consume MP, or consume nothing at all.
Regardless of whether it is a main action, minor action, or the type of consumption, the reduction of musical elements that occurs at the start of your turn does not happen at the start of the turn following the dance's use, nor during the duration of the dance's effect.
■ Canceling Dance Effects
Dance effects are non-magical. Methods for canceling them follow that rule.
Also, you can cancel the effects of a dance you used yourself as a minor action.
If you enter a situation where you cannot perform the dance, the effect is forcibly canceled even if it is still within its duration (e.g., if you perform a full move).
■ Acquiring Dances
You select and acquire one dance each time you gain a level in the Dancer skill.
Dances have a minimum skill level (5 or 10) required to acquire them. Once your level after character growth meets the minimum skill level, you can acquire it. You are free to choose ones from before the minimum skill level.
