My child, splashing through puddles in red rain boots, points to a cluster of nemophila blooming in a clearing that has opened up in the woods.

"So, the bones must be buried somewhere like that!"

I start to open my mouth, then stop, thinking about the dinosaur bones sleeping beneath the blue flowers.
