A consultant was consulted by a consultant

I work as a consultant. And I also have a consultant of my own.

The other day, that consultant said this to me:

"Your note is scattered all over the place, and it's hard to see where your strengths lie. You should consolidate it."

Yes. That is correct. Exactly right.

What I say myself

When I consult, I say the exact same thing.

"Let's dare to highlight your strongest point." It's what they call a Unique Selling Point.

When explaining this, I often use a handkerchief.

If you spread out a handkerchief and lift it by pinching multiple points, none of it rises very high. Next, if you pinch just one point in the center and pull it up with all your might, the surrounding fabric is pulled up with it, and the whole thing rises. The surface area created underneath is completely different.

If you lift one point, the surroundings will follow automatically. That's why I say, don't spread yourself thin, focus on one point.

In terms of Dragon Quest, it's the same as allocating stats. A character who has maxed out one stat is stronger than a character who has distributed points equally among strength, agility, and magic. It's better to allocate points to the area that suits that person's characteristics.

I know it, but I can't do it

Yes. I know it well.

I know it, but when it comes to myself, I end up doing it anyway. I want to write about this, I want to convey that, and I end up spreading myself too thin.

While telling others to "narrow it down," my own note was scattered across four magazines. Stories about AI, stories about management, a series about my own background, stories about my travels. It's because I wanted to do it all.

That's why I have a consultant of my own. I can see other people's issues, but I can't see my own. I've come to accept that this is just how it is.

So, I'm changing it starting tomorrow

I've decided to change how I write.

My strength is being a "manager who leads AI teams."

I serve as an advisor or executive at multiple companies. And for each of those companies, I build teams of AI employees. Since the circumstances differ for each company, the units are organized separately. I use them differently depending on the nature of the work.

I will be sharing the know-how of this approach daily from now on. Monday through Thursday will be about AI and management.
Only on Fridays will I tweet about myself and my daily life.
Also, since I have articles written in advance, the locations might be scattered.
Today, I am writing this while soaking in a jacuzzi at a friend's villa deep in the mountains of Yoshino (lol).

From now on, I will reduce my autobiography and daily tweets. I will focus on my strengths.

I will try doing what I said myself.
