Zipper Repair

Since the coin pocket is sewn shut right at the edge of the zipper...

The tape (the fabric part of the zipper) is under stress when opening and closing the slider, causing it to fray.

Therefore...
I replaced the zipper by sewing it in a U-shape 1cm lower than the original stitching position.
I stitched over the visible needle holes.

This will significantly reduce the stress when opening and closing.
Also, by sewing it in a U-shape, it can be used as a small 'hidden pocket'.
The original slider strap/pull with the engraving was transplanted.

And this time...

I also repaired the snap button because it would no longer close.
The cause was the deformation of the part called the 'spring' (the rod-like part in the image) due to trying to force it closed without properly engaging it with the opposite side, known as the 'stud'.

For this repair, I will replace it with a more durable jumper hook.

It's hard to explain, but...
Since the Red Moon's front concho and button are not linked, I unstitched the thread and replaced only the inner button/hook.
I forgot to take pictures of the process... the image above shows the sewing after the jumper hook was installed.

This is how it looks with the jumper hook installed.

It can be used for a long time to come.
