Bus driver, a small word of consideration for everyone's safety and smooth travel!
I boarded the bus and, as usual, said "Excuse me" while processing my IC card, when the driver immediately said
"Go straight and turn right, the second priority seat is open," and
gave me that information so naturally and as a matter of course!!
I was moved and touched.
When I receive necessary information so casually like this,
☆ I can truly receive the necessary information that a sighted person would understand just by moving their eyes.
☆ Because the interaction is quick and smart, the next person isn't held up and can board smoothly.
☆ I don't have to keep the people already on the bus waiting.
☆ It avoids the danger of a white cane user wandering around inside the bus after boarding, making other passengers feel uneasy, or the potential for health issues or accidents that could occur if a white cane user is struggling to stand when it's actually difficult for them. It keeps the bus safe.
☆ As a result, the bus can also depart smoothly.
This isn't just consideration for white cane users,
it's a wonderful, brilliant act of consideration that makes life easier for everyone, isn't it!
