Diary 🎬 'A Pale View of Hills', 'Linda Linda Linda'
2025/10/8
Watched two movies after work.
'A Pale View of Hills'
I thought it would be more unsettling, but it wasn't really; I found myself watching it with a sense of understanding. The actresses are beautiful. I was startled by the scenes where they suddenly speak in low, menacing voices. Faces shown in backlight or through distant windows. I should read the original novel.
'Linda Linda Linda 4K'
Ah, it was just truly the best. I didn't feel that much when I watched it casually on a streaming service before, but this time it really resonated... I don't dislike this kind of youth. It doesn't feel forced. The sluggishness of preparing for the school festival, a world that feels like it's only five meters in radius, the childish goodness and the tackiness. They all have such great expressions.
Even though there's a nearly 10-year gap between me and them, and I never played in a band or had a boyfriend, I felt that I definitely know that atmosphere.
Kenichi Matsuyama is so young (← I like him).
I've started turning on the portable heater in the mornings and evenings. At the supermarket, they have medium-sized grapes of the Niagara variety on display. They are such fragrant grapes, and whenever I see them, I think it's autumn.
