Supplements and Corrections for 'Akireta Boys Activity Record'
To everyone who has purchased and read the book version of 'Akireta Boys Activity Record', thank you so much!
I am also very happy to see your posts on social media.
This time, I am providing some supplements regarding the content of the book.
I am truly sorry to those who have already purchased it, but
I have made some revisions due to a few points of concern.
The two major corrections are as follows.
1. Page 128: Nagoya Shimbun Radio Column
There was an error in the caption.
Incorrect: "September 9, 1939"
Correct: "1938 September 9"
I am very sorry...
If you own a copy, please make the correction on the relevant page.
2. Page 419: Activity Chronology
Reflecting the content on page 270 (contributed by Yukiko Iwasawa), I have added a note about the Taiwan performance within the chronology.
July 1941 'Akireta Boys' column
Addition: "Taiwan performance (Daisekaikan/Yoshinokan)"
3. Others
These are all the corrections regarding information.
In addition, I have made minor layout adjustments and unified variations in notation (e.g., 'Teikokukan/Teikoku-kan', 'Milk Brothers/Milk-Brothers').
Also, since the author profile at the end of the book was too brief...
I decided to at least add my birthplace, so I added "Born in Yamaguchi".
I was born in Yamaguchi City, thank you for your support (?)
*It seems it will take some time for the revisions to be reflected.
If the colophon states 'Second Edition Published', it is the revised version.
4. Movie 'Tokkan Ekicho'
Although not reflected in the book's revisions, here is additional information about a film appearance.
It appears that Saburo Bouya appeared in the Toho film 'Tokkan Ekicho' released on March 29, 1945.
Torajiro Saito Although it is a comedy film directed by him, it seems it also had strong aspects of a national policy film given the times.
