Before I knew it, I was in the note swamp
Hello.
Thank you for visiting.
It has been over two months since I started note.
This is what I write about👇

That said, two months ago, I
never imagined I would become this obsessed with note.
The year before last, I retired from my job as an elementary school teacher a bit early.
Since I had spent my whole life in schools, everything outside that world was fresh to me.
Just being out on a weekday afternoon was exciting,
and I felt a thrill when I was called "ma'am" at a shop.
Since my life had been centered around work until then,
there were people who would reach out to me,
but for the time being, I just did nothing and drifted along.
I wanted to drift.
However, this year, I finally got moving.
Wanting to do some writing work that I had been interested in for a while,
I registered on CrowdWorks.
I'm sure you all know it, but
I wrote test articles for very low pay,
and had mysterious online interviews.
But I couldn't really get any work.
I'm a beginner and don't have any special qualifications, so I suppose that's to be expected.
One day, perhaps pitying me for not being hired,
ChatGPT introduced me to note.
As if being pushed from behind,
I posted an article on note for the first time.
I didn't have any likes or followers yet,
but my mood changed nonetheless.
I wanted to write again, and again,
that's how I felt.
I became interested in other people's articles,
and started reading them one after another.
It was amazing.
Here, so many thoughts,
knowledge,
experiences,
and lives
were packed tightly together.
There were words I didn't understand.
I kept reading while looking them up.
Every article was wonderful, and it was almost blinding.
I gave out many likes.
My heart was moved, and I couldn't just stay silent and read,
so I wrote comments while feeling nervous.
On the day I received a notification that my article was added to a magazine,
I thought someone had noticed me,
and I was happy all day long.
And so, I fell into the note swamp.
The other day, I had a day with no plans at all.
I started reading note in the morning, and when I suddenly realized it, it was evening.
Oh no, it's already this late.
When I went to the kitchen to prepare dinner.
There, my breakfast was still sitting out.
Cold toast and coffee.
Oh, me.
I had forgotten both breakfast and lunch.
I really had to reflect on that.
But that day, I was filled with the satisfaction of having read as many articles as I wanted.
By the way,
a month ago, I received a job offer from a friend.
I'm fully focused on note right now, though.
…My heart wavered, but
it's a temporary position to fill a vacancy.
I decided to take it starting in June.
My approach to note might change a little,
but I will continue to look forward to reading everyone's articles.
By the way, Chat-kun is giving me this advice.
note is a place to "share information," but
it can just as much be used as a "place to recover."
If you add just a few tips, it gets even better.
👉 "Set time limits for reading too"
For example:
・Work nights → Read for only 10-20 minutes
・Wednesdays or Saturdays → Read a bit more leisurely
Just by being conscious of this,
you can prevent "realizing you're tired but having kept on reading."
As expected of AI.
Precise advice.
But for someone like me who is stuck in the swamp,
well, I probably won't be able to finish reading in 10 minutes.
Since I started note,
when I see news about earthquakes or fires,
I worry more than ever that someone might have been harmed.
I feel closer to places that are far away.
I get an idea in the middle of the night and write an article,
and even if I post it around 3 a.m., there are people who give it a 'like',
and I find myself thinking about their lives, wondering,
"Are they still awake?" or "Do they work the night shift?"
Because you send warm feelings through your articles,
note is, just as Chat-kun said, a "place to recover,"
and it is also a "place that has broadened my perspective."
And to you who read this,
I hope I can deliver something to you, even if it's just a little bit.
Thinking I should do it while it's still May,
I compiled my articles so far into a magazine.
I would be happy if you took a look.
To everyone who has read my articles, liked them, or followed me, thank you so much.

May there be a small story in your daily life too ☆彡
