Just Before the Deaflympics🌿━Towards a Future Where the Sound Barrier Melts✨

A silent start. A light signal says 'Ready, set, go!'🏃‍➡️✨

At a Deaflympics track and field event, I witnessed the moment
the start signal was conveyed
not by sound, but by
a lamp (start lamp).

The start lamp works as follows:
🔴Red 'On your marks'
🟡Yellow 'Set'
🟢Green 'Go'

The athletes focus on that light,
and the moment it turns green, they all start running at once.

In a world without sound,
they rely on light and physical sensations
to make decisions and act in just a split second.

When I saw that scene for the first time,
I felt as if my eyes had been opened,
thinking, 'Such a world exists.'✨

Towards a future where the sound barrier melts✨

I live in a world with sound.
Deaf people live in a world without sound.
That is all there is to it.

If there is a sound barrier there,
I would like to gently melt it
and connect our hearts🌿

What is important is
the desire to convey and the desire to receive.

To receive a heart from a world without sound,
it might take
a little bit of effort🌿

But the accumulation of small efforts
will eventually melt the sound barrier──

I felt that way
thanks to the light
of that day's start lamp🌿
