I stopped being able to trust Go Ayano after watching "MIU404"
I am currently watching the director's cut version of "MIU404," which corresponds to episode 13 of #MIU404 .
The cut scenes are certainly like the 'ra' in a 'ra-nuki' word—they aren't strictly necessary for the story to make sense—but knowing they were cut for the sake of broadcast time makes watching them even more interesting.
Spoiler alert: in the final episode, it was funny when Nine-chan came to pick them up in the Melonpan car and made the excuse that "the only car I could use freely was the Melonpan car."
Now, to the main point.
Go Ayano is the only actor I like.
The reason is incredibly simple: because I like Ling Tosite Sigure. Go Ayano contributed a comment for the celebrity section of Ling Tosite Sigure's mini-album "es or s."
Of course, I knew of Go Ayano's existence, but I thought, isn't Go Ayano Tatsuhiko from "Shinjuku Swan"?!? At that moment, the actor Go Ayano was promoted from "an actor who happens to be in most of the movies I like" to "a god-tier actor who likes the same band as me."
After that, I learned that Go Ayano was a former band member, which made me like him even more. I was stunned to find out he knew about King Gnu even before they changed their name (or more accurately, back when it was Toru Tsuneta's solo project)...
That's right, I didn't start liking Go Ayano because of [Alexandros], I jumped from Ling Tosite Sigure to Go Ayano. He's such a kind man who sends flowers every time Sigure or TK holds a concert.
Go Ayano has appeared in numerous works, and among the movies I like, "The Light Shines Only There" is particularly memorable.
It's a love story set in Hakodate, where the unemployed Tatsuo, played by Go Ayano, gets involved with Chinatsu, the sister of Takuji (played by Masaki Suda), who is played by Chizuru Ikewaki.
Although it's a love story, it's a very heavy, depressing film.
The heaviest point is that his lover is working as a prostitute.
The characters all seem to be just drifting through life, unable to find meaning, living only because they can't bring themselves to die, so it's heavy throughout.
The only time it "shines" is the scene where Tatsuo and Chinatsu kiss by the Hakodate sea.
I usually watch dramas and movies focusing on the "roles" rather than the actors, and I watched "MIU404" focusing on Shima, Ibuki, and Kuzumi, but even so, the pairing of Go Ayano and Masaki Suda is a combination I've seen somewhere before.
..."The Light Shines Only There."
Are Ibuki and Tatsuo the same person...? No way, I can't believe it.
After all, Tatsuo has the look of someone who's been up all night every day, has zero aura, and is the quintessential bottom-of-the-barrel smoker/pachinko-playing NEET. In contrast, Ibuki is a 36-year-old detective who is incredibly athletic, a bit of an idiot, and has the boundless, bright energy of an adolescent boy...?
Tatsuhiko from "Shinjuku Swan," who is blonde and always getting hurt, and Tatsuo from "The Light Shines Only There" being the same person is also unbelievable.
I can still believe that Ibuki and Tatsuhiko are the same. Their "life will work out somehow" vibe is similar. But I can't believe that Tatsuo and Ibuki are the same person, or that Tatsuo and Tatsuhiko are the same person. They are easy-to-understand characters, but the range is insane.
By the way, I can trust Gen Hoshino.
Perhaps the reason I can still trust Gen Hoshino's Shima is because I've actually been to his live concerts, and I think it's because the image of Gen Hoshino as a musician is deeply ingrained. But I was reminded again that he is also a great actor.
Even though he shares similarities with Hiramasa-san from "The Full-Time Wife Escapist"—like being sincere, intelligent, and wearing simple clothes—and his appearance hasn't changed much,"MIU404" is definitely Shima.Hiramasa-san doesn't question people with the sharp edge that Shima does, and conversely, Shima doesn't have the soft, quiet nature that Hiramasa-san possesses.
Come to think of it, I realized I hadn't watched the drama "Kounodori" that he co-starred in with Gen Hoshino,so I started it, but I stopped watching halfway through the first episode because I already couldn't trust Go Ayano just a few minutes in.
He just looks like Sakura Kounotori, who happens to have a face similar to Go Ayano. Even though there are two seasons, I'm not making any progress at all. This is going to take a while. Watching "Kounodori" might depend more on the cuteness of Mayu Matsuoka than on the story itself.
Since "Ayano-sandros" has made a comeback in the starring film"DoctorDeath's Legacy" featuring a theme song by [Alexandros], of course I want to go see it, but can I really watch it in a theater when I already can't trust Go Ayano as an actor? After all, even though Inukai is a police officer just like Ibuki, even in the trailer, Inukai is full of grit and sex appeal.
The fundamental reason I can't trust Go Ayano ishis delicate acting ability in how he carries the atmosphere.Watching Go Ayano, I truly understand what it means to be a chameleon actor.
In an interview some time ago, he said something like, "As long as the character exists, I can just be a dummy," and his acting is so natural that I mistake him for a real human being rather than a character, whether it's Ibuki or Tatsuo. It's as if he's possessed, yet he isn't—the terrifying acting ability of Go Ayano. I'm sure I'll continue to be deceived by Go Ayano.
Is the person known as "Go Ayano" also a 404 Not Found?
Today's song
The number one band I want Go Ayano to listen to is the Nagoya-based improvisational band I frequently introduce,Suspended 4th. Judging by Go Ayano's musical tastes, I'm sure he'd love them!
By the way, Tsuyoshi Muro also appears frequently in the movies I watch.
