Lopia Family
A colleague excitedly told me that
they went to Lopia for the first time yesterday.
Apparently, seven of their relatives charged in together,
bought so much that it was overflowing from the cart,
and had a grand deli feast that left them completely satisfied.
Grrr!
I'm so jealous!
I listened to my colleague's story to the very end,
constantly swallowing my saliva.
...
"Then let's go too."
My wife's reply.
That was quick. What incredible wife-power.
We exchanged intense looks, nodded,
and dashed off to that land.
Behold!
Just by walking through the aisles,
our shopping cart was bulging to the brim.
"How about this? Let's buy it."
By the time we had repeated that line six times,
our cart was experiencing an avalanche.
What a magnificent sight.
No, really, it's Lopia's fault.
I've only been here three times so far,
but the deli items change every time I come.
In other words!
Doesn't that mean if I miss out on buying them this time,
I'll never be able to buy the same deli items again?
Ah, how terrifying. Oh, how terrifying.
"You're absolutely right, dear husband."
My wife, whose eyes are usually like a cat's, had a different sparkle in them.
If I analyzed her pattern, it would surely be blue.
Our activity limit (hunger) was near.
I understand the feeling; even I felt like I was going to lose control.
Ah, it's no use, I'm going to lose control, I'm going to lose control.
Time to pay, time to pay... wait
9,910 yen!? In a single shopping trip!?
To think we spent this much despite not even being a large family!
Did we get carried away and stuff too many seasonings and dressings
into every single gap we could find...
"Well, that's fine. We'll eat it all deliciously."
That's true.
If anything, I should say we did well to keep it under 10,000 yen.
We won. We won. Hahaha.
