Interaction Workshop with a Designer
During long breaks such as summer and spring vacation, we irregularly hold interaction workshops with working professionals. The purpose of this workshop is to provide children with an opportunity to interact with professionals who are active with specialized skills and dreams, and to help them find jobs they admire or develop their own dreams.
At the beginning of August, we invited designer Kazuki Sumi to visit us and conduct a logo design workshop! At the start of the session, he shared the wonderful sentiment that "design is about doing something with someone else in mind."

On this day, under the theme of "expressing your favorite person through design," everyone created logo marks for their beloved moms and dads and turned them into pinback buttons. Everyone was completely focused, and they were able to express their love while thinking about their parents.

Sumi-san is the designer who created the Codosia logo, and he has a wealth of design experience including corporate logos, product packaging, publications, web design, and events. On the day, he arrived in a stylish all-black outfit with very fashionable shoes—just as you would expect from a designer—and we even heard the children saying, "Designers are so cool!"
Everyone was immersed in logo design with sparkling eyes, and I believe it became an opportunity for them to feel that the profession of a designer is something close to them.

I hope that the encounter on this day will someday lead everyone to find what they love and have dreams of their own!
