How to be happy: 'Blaming it on luck'
The top image is a 'poinsettia'.
Its flower language is 'praying for good luck'.
The red-colored leaves
look like the feeling of wishing for someone's happiness.
While touching upon that gentle prayer,
this time, I will think about 'luck and happiness'.
Don't search too much for the cause
There are days when things don't go as planned.
When you tried your best but didn't get results.
When things should have gone well,
but for some reason, the gears went out of sync.
At such times, people look for the cause.
Was it my fault?
Is it someone else's fault?
What went wrong?
Of course, looking back is important.
There are things you can learn from it.
However, if you seek a reason for everything,
you end up blaming yourself or someone else.
The choice of saying 'I was unlucky'
At such times, I think it's okay to say this:
'I was unlucky.'
Saying it's due to luck
might sound a bit irresponsible.
But this is not an escape,
it is also a choice to protect yourself or others.
No one is to blame.
It was just that the timing or circumstances didn't align.
By thinking that way,
you can avoid hurting your heart more than necessary.
Creating just the right distance
Things that didn't work out by just one step.
Human relationships that didn't click for some reason.
Results that changed due to the slightest difference.
If you blame all of these on 'yourself',
your heart will become increasingly heavy.
On the other hand, if you blame someone else,
a different kind of pain is born.
That is precisely why,
'I was unlucky'
this one phrase
creates just the right distance.
Letting go after doing what you can
Leaving things to luck
does not mean doing nothing.
You did what you had to do.
You exhausted what you could do.
If that is the result after that,
the rest is in the realm of luck.
There is no need to carry it that far.
To ride the flow
People who do not try to control everything themselves
can sometimes ride the flow.
When attachment loosens, your perspective widens,
and your next step becomes lighter.
A break to move forward
Whether you continue to hold onto an event that didn't go well
as a 'failure',
or let it go by saying 'I was unlucky'.
The difference
shows in how light you feel afterward.
In closing
No one is to blame.
It was just bad luck.
By drawing a line once in that way,
you can move forward again.
You don't have to carry everything on your back.
By entrusting it to luck,
you will be able to live more gently.
A book that influenced me in writing this article
The Luck Factor: The Scientific Method for Attracting Opportunities and Achieving Results
In this book,
it is discussed that there are elements of 'luck' in life
that you simply cannot control,
and how to live within that.
You don't have to take responsibility for everything.
It is a book that gave me the trigger to think that way.
I have also summarized other 'ways to be happy' flowers
at the link below.
