[note] How to expand your creative writing content with Google AI
Hello! This is Tsukuda, a book editor and writer. Today, for the first time in a while, I would like to write about AI.
This past March, I worked with Google's AI, Gemini, to write a paid article titled "An unreasonable request to Google AI! The 5 'somethings' needed to increase your note followers by 6,000 in half a year".
Thanks to everyone, the article sold from the very first day, and I received kind words such as:
"A super educational article! ⸜( ˶'ᵕ'˶)⸝"
"I'll skip the details to avoid spoilers, but thank you for the wonderful learning and insights 😊"
"400 yen is not enough. This article is worth charging more for!!!"
"Not only is it packed with information, but it's also interesting to read, and above all, very easy to read 😆"
With that in mind, I would like to introduce how to use AI to expand on what you want to write, which I learned through creating this article.
Benefits of writing with AI
Speedy writing: By borrowing the power of AI, you can significantly reduce the time spent on information gathering and drafting outlines (though you must still verify specific facts thoroughly).
Discovering new perspectives: I asked for multiple proposals for the outline, and sometimes it came up with unexpected ideas that made me think, "That's a valid approach too." Plus, it only takes about 2 minutes to think of an outline. By inputting your own knowledge and expanding on the outline, you can create a deeper and more interesting structure.
Checkpoints to deepen your article
Article theme: First, clarify the theme of the article you want to write. The more specific you are about what you want to write or what your goal is (e.g., wanting to write an article about AI, wanting to increase note followers), the higher the resolution of the AI's answers, and the more likely you are to get the results you were looking for.
Target audience: Clarify who you are writing for. By specifically conveying the reader's attributes (age, gender, interests, etc.), it becomes easier to create content that resonates with them together with the AI.
Article structure: Tell the AI the rough structure of the article. A simple one like "Introduction, Body, Conclusion" is fine. The AI will suggest content for each section.
Keywords: Tell the AI the keywords you want to include in the article. This is useful for SEO and makes it easier for the AI to collect relevant information.
The "editorial" perspective is important for creating with AI
AI is just an assistant: AI is merely a tool to support your own thinking. Do not take AI suggestions at face value; actively mark them up with your own edits and incorporate your own opinions and experiences.
To avoid "AI-sounding" text: Text generated by AI can sometimes be mechanical and lack a human touch. Consider AI suggestions as a draft, rewrite them in your own words, and express your emotions and personality. That is the key to attracting readers.
Reconstructing text from an editorial perspective: Editing is about finding relationships between pieces of information and connecting them to create new meaning. Text created by AI does not reflect your own context very well. That is precisely why you need an editorial perspective to reconstruct the text and structure.
I created the paid article I introduced earlier from that perspective.
This time, for a limited time of two weeks (until July 23rd), I am selling it for half price at 200 yen, exclusively to those who share "Making an unreasonable request to Google AI! The 5 things needed to 'increase my note followers by 6,000 in half a year'" on X. If you are interested, please click below.
Whether you are new here or
a regular visitor,
thank you for reading until the end.
If you'd like, please give it a like, share, follow, support, or recommendation, and I will be overjoyed.
I hope you have a happy day!
