Itsuki boasts about something that made her happy yesterday.
The day before yesterday, Itsuki decided to start Chocozap on a whim.
She intends to start on February 1st to fully take advantage of the first-month-free campaign.
So, Itsuki decided to buy some new clothes that can serve as both casual wear and workout gear for Chocozap (*).
*At Chocozap, you can use the facilities in any attire, including leather shoes, business suits, or everyday clothes, as long as it isn't something that violates public order and morals, like being completely naked.
By the way,
Itsuki is well aware that being 'completely naked' doesn't count as 'attire'.
For the top, the clothes she currently uses should be fine.
The problem is the bottom.
As someone who has been a perpetual 'trouser refugee,' Itsuki doesn't own a single pair of wonderful trousers (I'm always hesitant about this, but is it correct for ladies and gentlemen to call them 'pants'? Of course, I know the pronunciation is different. But as someone from a generation that grew up calling 🩲 'pants' (with a rising-falling-falling pitch), I feel incredibly embarrassed calling trousers 'pants' (with a falling-rising-rising pitch). Please, someone give me the answer.) that are decent enough to wear out in public and also suitable for exercise.
Why is she a trouser refugee?
That is because Itsuki has a lower-body...pear-shaped figure that is curvy in all the wrong places.
Her butt and legs are thick.
Her upper body doesn't gain weight easily, she's tall, and she's the type who looks thinner in clothes, so people around her don't think she's that overweight.
She is habitually committing upper-body fraud.
For the sake of my own honor, I must say that since I do a lot of physical labor on a daily basis, I believe I have solid muscle and am quite toned.
It might be strange for me to say it myself, but my fat and muscle coexist in a nice balance.
I personally think of it as something like a professional cyclist's physique. (← Itsuki is easy on herself.)
Because of that, Itsuki always struggles with choosing trousers.
If I match them to a woman's waist size, my butt and legs won't fit.
If I match them to my butt and legs, they won't stay at my waist and slide right down.
That might have been fine back when low-rise jeans were all the rage, but in the Reiwa era, that's a problem.
That said, I don't want to wear a belt because of my 'flower-picking' time attack. (What are you saying with that smug look?)
By the way, I should mention that Itsuki is under a curse where she cannot spend money on clothes.
I procure my clothes exclusively from thrift stores or as donations (items from decluttering) from the kind-hearted women around me who know my lifestyle.
If I have to spend my own money, Shimamura or Sanki is the absolute limit.
(For the first time in as long as I can remember, I bought a winter coat at a stylish shop this season. Two sale items for just over 10,000 yen. I was so excited I felt like I was floating on air.)
In the first place, stylish shops that dainty, fashion-conscious girls frequent don't even carry trousers in Itsuki's size.
Previously, I pinned my last hopes on Uniqlo, everyone's friend, but they didn't have any women's trousers that fit my troublesome body. Since I had already asked a staff member for help, I couldn't just leave empty-handed, so I bought the men's trousers they recommended as an alternative and went home. (← I love them and wear them all the time.)
Even at Uniqlo, which is supposed to be everyone's friend, they didn't have my size.
That was the moment it was proven that Itsuki's lower body is non-standard.
Having long since given up on trousers, Itsuki lives by wearing the comfortable jeans I found in the past on heavy rotation, and by stealing my husband's jeans that happen to fit just right. (← I just fold up the extra length at the hem to hide it.)
Anyway, from spring to autumn, I mostly wear dresses that I can just throw on, so it's no problem.
However, now that I'm starting Chocozap, I've decided I want at least one more pair of trousers that are easy to move in.
That's because when I did the free one-day trial at Chocozap wearing the jeans I stole from my husband (the non-stretch kind), they were, as expected, hard to move in.
So, yesterday, I had a thought: If it's Workman, which also carries training wear, maybe they have trousers that are easy to move in and can also be worn as everyday clothes? And so, I charged into Workman.
And you know what? They had them.

I'll leave the size to your imagination♡
1,900 yen... It still hurts to spend my own money on clothes, but since I know the going rate for pants, I have nothing but gratitude for this shockingly low price.
Workman, a brand I have always placed immense trust in for their quality and prices when it comes to outdoor and work gear.
This is why I love them🩷
The first of the 'things that made me happy' mentioned in the title is getting a pair of pants that fit perfectly for a low price. (Isn't that intro way too long?? I'm surprised myself.)
The other thing was that when I was checking out, the cashier complimented my favorite bag, saying, 'That's lovely!'
As I wrote in the article above, I love using a woven craft band bag that I bought from a craft band artist after falling in love with it at a flea market.
The cashier said, 'I've made basket bags before, but I couldn't make that! It's amazing!' and she looked at it with so much interest♪
Even though I didn't make it myself, I remembered the smile of the artist who sold it to me and felt so happy🥳
I really want to tell that artist from back then...!!
I like interesting and slightly unusual things, so my belongings are a bit unique.
I get complimented on my belongings quite often✨
A while ago, this little guy was also complimented by a cashier♪⇩

This time, it was about the two things that made me happy yesterday.
At such length...
