Dad's passionate speech, ignored in a... second!? 😱
Child: "I have to go earlier than usual tomorrow! There's a job fair at another campus, so I have to go an hour earlier."
Dad: "Is that so? A typhoon is coming, so it's going to rain from tomorrow, you know? What are you going to do?"
Child: "If it's raining in the morning, could you give me a ride to the station?"
Dad: "Sure, but what time are you going?"
Child: "The train is at 7:50, so I want to leave the house by 7:20."
Dad: "That's early 😅💦 Won't the office still be closed?"
Child: "Is that a problem?"
Dad: "It's fine! 😁 Like I'd say no! At worst, we'll ask Grandpa 🤣"
Child: "If it's not raining, I'll go by bike, so could you pick me up on the way back?"
Dad: "Sure! But if I have to work overtime, ask Grandpa! Well, unless it's something really major, I'll just say, 'My son asked for a ride, so I'm leaving on time!' and head out lol"
Child: "Is that okay? Won't you get in trouble?"
Dad: "Hmm? Why? If they complain about that, I don't mind quitting that company 😆 I'm working for my family, so if they expect me to neglect my family, I don't need that company lol Don't worry about it, son! Just do what you want to do! You might not remember, but at my previous job, when I was working on my days off and doing unpaid overtime until late, I said, 'I'm doing this for my son!' and you said, 'I'm lonely.' That's why I was reborn!"
Child: "Well, if it's not raining in the morning, I'll go by bike."
Dad: "W-wait, ignored? Where did my passionate speech go? 😱💦"
Dad: "Grandma has a hospital visit from the morning on Thursday and Friday, so she can't take you, so I'll take you, don't worry!"
Child: "If I go by your schedule, it's still too early..."
Dad: "It's fine! I'll just go in late!"
Child: "Is that really okay?"
Dad: "It's tooooootally fine! The one who'll be in trouble if I'm not there is the company lol A company is a place that makes sure there are plenty of people to replace me! There's no one to replace me as your dad! Which one is more important? 😆"
Am I a failure as a father? A failure as an employee? Or a failure as a human being in the first place? 😅
Typhoon approaching on Thursday and Friday. But it's Grandma's hospital visit after her discharge. Grandpa is taking Grandma to the hospital! So I can't rely on Grandpa!
