Self-Introduction | Better Late Than Never
I realized I hadn't really done a proper self-introduction.
It's the hardest thing to do.
Introducing myself?
In this rainy season, better late than never...
I'll give it a try. I think I'll use a Q&A format.
🍀 What is your name?
I use 'Chorosu' for all my social media.
🍀 What is your personality like?
▪️ Whimsical and go at my own pace.
▪️ I'm always wearing weird clothes at home. I only ever run into the neighbor's husband when I go out to take the trash out without a bra on, and I end up hunching my back.
Even though no one is looking.
One morning, I called out "See ya!" to my son's back as he rode his bike to the station.
The neighbor I mentioned mistook it for being directed at him and gave me a polite bow.
I'm not that familiar with people, and I wouldn't say
"See ya!"
to someone else's husband.
I'm the type who even hesitates to say "Have a good day."
▪️ A pessimist who looks like an optimist.
▪️ Socially awkward with groups of 5 or more.
I prefer lunches to be limited to 4 people.
I know everyone wants to talk about themselves, so I gauge their personalities, and if I decide that today is a day where I don't need to speak, I barely say a word.
I just listen. If there are 4 people, I might talk quite a bit.
With 5 or more, I give up.
If there are 6 or more, someone who is good at facilitating the conversation usually appears, and that person, with their great sense of balance, might ask me,
"How are things at your place, Chorosu?"
"How's your husband, Chorosu?"
and since everyone is looking at me, I feel like I have to say something funny, but 80% of the time, my attempts fall flat.
So, I really wish they wouldn't do that, and I tend to avoid large groups.
Drinking parties are fine even with large groups.
As long as there's alcohol, I can get through it.
When my child was in kindergarten, a few mom friends and I were working on inflating balloons and putting them into trash bags. I made a joke and said, "It's so heavy!"
My kind mom friends said, "Oh? Is it heavy? I'm sorry, I'll hold it!"
The atmosphere got weird, and I swore to myself never to make jokes again.
What I really wanted was for them to say, "It's obviously not heavy!"
That's the punishment for wanting that.
🍀 About my work
I work in the welfare sector.
In the past, I've also worked in childcare.
And various other things.
🍀 Qualifications I hold
Childcare worker
Certified care worker
Care manager (also known as a long-term care support specialist)
*Correction here.
Although I obtained the care manager qualification, 5 years have passed without me ever working in that role. It expires if you don't take the renewal training. I couldn't take the training, so it is currently expired.
Abacus level 2
Bookkeeping level 3
Driver's license
Shorthand level 6 (obtained in elementary school, cannot prove it)
🍀 Experience with going missing
Yes.
Before I got married, I had my heart broken and ran away from home.
I completely ignored the demonic number of calls from my parents and friends on my cell phone, as well as their voicemails, and relied on a friend living in Shikoku to take me in.
Even though my friend had only been married for 3 months, she welcomed me with open arms, yet I caused her trouble by smoking cigarettes and drinking like a fish at night.
She took me for a drive while I was gaunt and had hollow eyes.
While looking at the Seto Ohashi Bridge and the bright blue sky, I cried while saying, "It's beautiful."
I stayed for one week.
The friend who initially told me, "You can stay for a month if you want," seemed relieved when I said I was going home. (She must have been thinking, 'Please go home soon,' right?)
I can't believe she let me stay for a whole week when she was a newlywed.
The reason we are still in touch between Shikoku and the Kanto region is because I haven't forgotten the kindness she showed me back then, and I decided that if she ever went through a tough time, I would absolutely support her.
The last time I saw her was before COVID.
🍀 Dark history
I have a few. My definition of dark history is the kind of thing you can't tell anyone. I'm surprised by how many people say they don't have any dark history worth keeping secret!
Dark history aside, can you really tell people your true worries? I can't talk about them, and I can't write about them.
Is this even a self-introduction?
Seriously,
what is this even about?
🍀 Things I like
Doing nothing

Dancing (I was in the ballroom dance club)

🍀 Things I want right now

🍀 About note
Since I was a child, I've kept diaries, written poems, and written stories, always assuming someone would read them.
Cinderella is not dead
I wrote a story with a friend about how there were actually dozens of Cinderellas, all with the same foot size, so the prince was deceived and it ended in tragedy. We performed it in an empty lot with no audience, and the old man living next door yelled at us, "Shut up! Go away!"
and got angry.
From then on, writing
popped up here and there in my life, but I wrote like crazy without showing it to anyone. (Correction: I was showing it off. I was sending it out. I was also running a blog.)
And so, here I am.
Diverging from a self-introduction, note allows me to write freely, and it is...
S-so much fun♡
Today is fun.
Tomorrow might be tough.
🍀 A final word
I am not good with summer.
But summer might be hated more than it used to be, and it might be thinking, "This isn't how it was supposed to be."
Everything has two sides, and this self-introduction is just the front side.
The side I can show.
In a month, when I read this back, I'll probably think I'm a weird person. I love being weird, so
I'll call it good.
Thank you for reading😊🙇♀️
