So That Was It
It has been over 60 days since I resumed daily posting.
Since a year has about 52 weeks, if I had only continued posting weekly, I would have already written a year's worth.
Good for me. Amazing.
Every day, I read books, play games, and write articles.
Of course, I also work, raise my children, and do housework.
I am indulging in being busy.
Why am I posting every day?
I sometimes find myself thinking about that.
Just quit, it would be easier. I think things like that.
At times like these, I line up various reasons to calm my mind.
Because I want to write.
Because I can write.
Because I missed the chance to quit.
Because I want to be thought of as interesting.
Because it is practice for writing a novel someday.
Because it is refreshing.
Because it is a habit.
Because there are people who read it.
Because I want to be thought of as amazing.
Because I want to share what I've read in books.
And so on.
I struggle to justify it somehow.
But none of them feel quite right.
I haven't been able to put it into words well.
Even though there should be a clearer reason than this.
Like this, I was in a state of just continuing it somehow.
But I found a description close to the answer in a book I read recently.
"No matter how much you read, you won't become wise."
Bam.
Shocking fact.
Even though part of me reads books because I want to become wise.
Even though I thought reading combined a hobby with practical benefits (becoming wise).
A book is, so to speak, the very thoughts of another person.
A book is thoughts articulated in an easy-to-understand way.
By the time it becomes a book, the author has thought through their ideas thoroughly.
Therefore, the reader does not need to think.
And so, it is said that the brain becomes filled with the thoughts of others, and the ability to think for oneself is not cultivated.
That is why, at times, it seems necessary to have time to do nothing and think for oneself.
This is it!
The reason I post articles on note.
It was to cultivate the ability to think for myself.
Yeah, yeah.
That makes sense, that really makes sense.
Huh?
Are you saying that if the result of my own thinking is just puns or short stories with bad endings, it would be better for the world if I installed the happy thoughts of others?
No, that's going too far!
Even as gentle and cheerful as I am, that would make me cry.
Anyway, I will post articles on note to make time to think for myself.
And I will continue reading to find topics for my articles.
Isn't this loop the strongest?
See you later.
