I had just finished reading something that felt like a very poorly written novel.
A feeling that is hard to describe...

To summarize the content,

it was like an autobiography of a person who parachuted beyond a flat horizon, was swept away by the wind, got stuck in a gummy tree, survived by eating the gummy fruit, and built a fortune with gummy jam.
It would be easy to criticize it,

but the spirit and guts it took to bring this in are worth noting.
As a professional editor, isn't it part of my skill to cook this up properly...?
It was an unknown piece of writing that stimulated my sense of challenge.

“Well, it’s quite rough around the edges, but that’s exactly why there’s room for improvement.

“Could you use this as a springboard to refine it? You can change the form significantly.”

I decided to wait and set a date for our next meeting.

The work he brought in had certainly been refined and its form had changed.

It was a crepe cooked on a large, flat iron plate, spread with homemade peanut cream using peanuts—no, wait, peanuts🥜.


It was rolled with orange and grape-flavored gummies as an accent.

There was also a parachute-shaped item made by stuffing shiitake mushroom caps with minced meat filling and frying them, wrapped in crepe dough.
