I've brought a special story just for you, since you can't sleep.
You're such a wild creature, I imagine you're too agitated to drift off.
After all, they say you're the dragon who governs battle, don't they?
Why don't you listen to my story and try to relax first?
Just listen to it as if it were a lullaby.

In my village, there was a young man who got tired of being a fisherman, and now he spends all night dangling a fishing line by the riverbank.
He spends his days sleeping and comes out when night falls.
Apparently, he wants to see his older brother who turned into a star, and he's trying to fish the stars reflected on the river's surface.
How utterly pathetic.
Stars are up in the sky, so he should just climb a high mountain or something.

There's a weather vane set up on the roof of a shack on the edge of town.
A girl comes there every single day.
It seems she lost her younger sister at the beginning of this year, and whenever the weather vane starts to spin, she shouts her sister's name right there.
It appears she's named the wind that blows there after her sister; she says that when the wind whistles, her sister is laughing, and when the vane spins, her sister is dancing, and she refuses to leave that spot all day long.
Honestly, it's just heartbreaking.
I keep thinking she should at least go to the graveyard.

How about that?
Stories about life and death in the human world.
Not interested, are you?
I suppose you're so bored you've become sleepy.
In that case, why don't you try falling asleep wrapped in the silence of this forest?

……Oh, you really have fallen asleep.
With that massive body of yours, you're sleeping soundly.
You beast who devoured my eldest son and youngest daughter.
Why don't you drift into an eternal sleep while listening to a death lullaby meant just for you?
