The Result of Pursuing a Truly Interesting Person
The Result of Pursuing a Truly Interesting Person
"Who is a truly interesting person?"
The man began to search.
He met a comedian.
They were good at making people laugh.
However, they feared the nights when their jokes would fall flat.
He met a writer.
Their stories were interesting.
However, they were chased by deadlines.
He met a popular streamer.
They were a genius at entertaining people.
However, they were worried about their view counts.
"Still not it."
The man continued to search.
One day, he found an old man flipping over stones by a riverbank.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm turning over stones."
"Why?"
"Because they have an underside, too."
The man asked.
"Are you an interesting person?"
"I don't know."
"Do you want to make people laugh?"
"Not really."
"Then why are you looking at stones?"
The old man put the stone back and said.
"Stones are often only looked at from the front, you see."
The man fell silent.
The old man continued.
"There are bugs on the underside, too."
"To the bugs, that is the front."
The man couldn't help but laugh.
He didn't even know himself what was funny.
On the way home.
The man closed the notebook titled "The Laws of Interest."
And he wrote on the last page.
A truly interesting person was someone who wasn't trying to be interesting.
From that day on, the man,
failed every time he tried to talk about something in an interesting way,
and when he talked about trivial stones,
for some reason, everyone laughed.
The man never understood the reason until the end.
And so, just a little bit,
he was able to become an interesting person.
