What tone do you use when writing on note?

When you keep writing on note, there are moments when you suddenly pause.

I know what I want to write. I have what I want to convey in my head, too. But when I actually try to write it, my fingers stop.

Isn't it a bit funny that the cause of that was my "writing style"?

Actually, lately, I've been struggling with whether or not to write my posts on note in a "polite (desu-masu) style."

Until now, I've been conscious of using a "friendly tone (casual speech)" on note.
Partly because I wanted to close the distance with my readers, and partly because I wanted to write in a relaxed atmosphere.
Conversely, on my old blog, it was standard to write in a polite "desu-masu style." I was conscious of building trust and used properly polished language.

And here is the problem.

Lately, I've noticed that "desu" and "masu" just come out naturally.
As I write, I find myself pulled toward polite language. But then I feel like that's not right, so I switch back to a friendly tone... and the cycle repeats.

...

Honestly, this is exhausting!!!

But one day, I suddenly thought,

"Wouldn't a 'conversational' desu-masu style suit me better?"

The thing is, when I talk to someone in daily life, I'm basically polite, but not stiff.
It's a slightly softer, slightly more casual "spoken language."
I felt that this kind of style might be the best fit for my note posts as well.

For example,

Instead of a formal way of saying,
"The MacBook Air is very convenient,"

saying something like,
"The MacBook Air is actually really convenient, isn't it?"

is closer to my natural tone.
It's polite, but not overly pretentious.

A style that feels like I'm having a conversation with the reader at just the right temperature.

So, from now on, I've decided to stop forcing it and just write in my "natural tone."
Whether I use a "polite style" or a "casual tone" doesn't really matter.
What's important is being able to write at my own rhythm.

Being able to express the words that reach my readers in my own way.
Writing on note might seem like it's for someone else, but it's actually a dialogue with myself.

I was a bit lost, but perhaps this "writing style identity crisis" was just one of those dialogues.

And just by writing all this out, I've ended up writing a whole post.
Have you all who write on note ever struggled with the same thing?
You have the desire to write, but you get stuck on "how to write it."
But perhaps, at times like that, choosing the tone closest to your own words
is a form of kindness to yourself.
