Ginkgo Tree: Sorry, Thank You, Goodbye, See You Again

The ginkgo tree that had been there since before I was born was finally cut down today.😢

It was a magnificent tree that I always looked at from my balcony to feel comforted, and I loved it.
Birds often came to visit it too.🐦
I loved the time I spent just staring blankly while watching the ginkgo tree and the birds from my balcony.

Three days ago, I had a feeling and decided to take some photos of it.
Today, I also had a feeling and thought I should go near the tree to take some pictures, so I snapped a few.

A few hours later, the sound of a chainsaw made me jump and run to the balcony.
The ginkgo tree I had just photographed was being cut down so easily.
I never imagined the day we had to say goodbye would come so soon.

With the Kumahara River construction work starting, I had prepared myself for the possibility that this tree might be cut down someday, but seeing it actually happening, I couldn't stop the tears.
But I was able to burn its final moments into my memory.

The cherry trees are all gone now, and the ginkgo tree too...

I'm sorry for the sake of human convenience.
I suppose it takes time and money to replant them, and it might have been unavoidable for humans to live safely, but it's still sad, and that's all there is to it.

I heard that where I live now used to be fields a long time ago. I think they turned it into a place where people could live because the population increased.
As someone who is allowed to live here, I have mixed feelings.

It reminds me once again that humans, the Earth, nature, and animals must continue to search for ways to coexist happily with each other.

I think it is an issue that each and every one of us should pay more attention to so that humanity alone does not fall out of the great cycle of this Earth.
What can I do?
