[Anime Review] Tokyo Ghoul: What would you do if your staple food suddenly became humans?
≪No spoilers included≫
Information on the anime 'Tokyo Ghoul'
Dark Fantasy/Horror / 48 episodes total (completed) / Japan
Broadcast period: 2014–2018
A society where monsters called Ghouls, who have humans as their staple food, are hiding among people.
The protagonist, Ken Kaneki, was a perfectly ordinary college student, but due to a certain incident, he becomes a half-ghoul.
It is a story about Ken Kaneki, having lost his place in the world, finding a place where he can live among the ghouls.
Well, that's how it ends up when I write it simply, but 'Tokyo Ghoul' is also an ensemble drama where not only the protagonist Ken Kaneki, but also various humans and ghouls with their own circumstances appear, and their ways of life are intricately intertwined.
Everyone is lonely, yet they want to be close to someone... it's complicated, isn't it.
Actually, I didn't really like Ken Kaneki in the beginning, and I was watching him with a sense of frustration and irritation, but the way he grows from there was just amazing.
And the way he changes is so drastic that you wonder if it's even the same person, which is also great.
To be honest, Ken Kaneki is pretty much my favorite character...
I like him so much that I can't really write a good review lol
Anyway, it's a wonderful story, so I want you to watch it.
The theme songs are also wonderful.
