[A Haiku from Art] A Haiku about Autumn Movies
A pre-event for the Everyone's Haiku Tournament 'Izayoi Cup'.
Here is a haiku inspired by art!
When it comes to autumn... I want to introduce this!!!
Or rather, it's so famous it hardly needs an introduction.
"Stand by Me"
River Phoenix, forever...
This masterpiece, based on the work of Stephen King whom I worship, is included in the omnibus 'Different Seasons,' which consists of four parts: Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter.
Although it has 'horror' in the Japanese title, that was added arbitrarily; the original title is 'Different Seasons,' and while there are scary stories, the entire collection is generally considered non-horror.
Each part of this omnibus is subtly connected, and'Stand by Me' corresponds to the Autumn part.
By the way, the Spring part is 'Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption,' the Summer part is 'Apt Pupil,' and the Winter part is 'The Breathing Method,' and only the winter story has not been made into a movie.
As a movie, 'The Shawshank Redemption' is also famous, isn't it?
Actually, Shawshank and Stand by Me are closely related, so if you're interested, please read the original work!!
With that said, here is a haiku.
Oh boy, the September tracks and your future
<Trivia from a King fanatic>
I wrote that 'The Shawshank Redemption' and 'Stand by Me' are connected, but there are many other King works that have been made into movies that are actually connected, so I'll write them down here!!
You won't know unless you read the original works.
・Stories set in the same town as 'Stand by Me'
This story is set in a town called Castle Rock, which is a fictional town created by King.
Various things have happened there.
'The Dead Zone'
'Cujo'
・Beyond the tracks the boys walked along
Beyond the tracks the boys walked along is a town called Derry, which is the setting for 'IT'.
Do you remember what the boys went looking for in 'Stand by Me'? Yes... it was a child's dead body..
Dreamcatcher is also set in Derry.
The Izayoi Cup is about to begin soon, too.
I need to prepare an autumn haiku~
