"Blue Sky Stage"
Akari comes to the university festival because Mio, who played the trumpet with her in the brass band during high school, is performing in a band she started after becoming a university student.
Akari feels that Mio, standing on the stage, seems like someone a bit far away.
◎ Commentary
This is a mini-drama born from the "Image" project that Kuesu-san is currently working on.
Seeing a former best friend go down a different path and succeed can sometimes lead to complicated feelings.
It's even more so if you feel like you haven't moved forward yourself...
I don't know in detail what Akari has been doing since graduating from high school, but I imagine she might have quit music...
I thought that seeing her best friend moving forward might have caused both joy and loneliness to swirl inside her, so I tried to draw that expression.
Also, I like looking at the expressions of people listening to music.
When I go to see a live concert as a member of the audience, I sometimes turn around and look at everyone's faces.
If you ever go to a live concert, please try looking at the faces of the audience too. They are shining!
Of course, I also look at everyone's faces when I'm performing live.
I can see quite a lot from the stage.
Well, with that in mind, I did my best to draw an expression that combines joy and loneliness, plus the look of someone listening to music.
It's interesting to draw the feeling of sound entering the body.
