[Minhai Cherry Blossom Festival] A Haiku for the Cherry Blossoms

A project to compose haiku, tanka, senryu, or dodoitsu poems accompanied by photos of cherry blossoms.

Since the cherry blossoms haven't bloomed yet this year, I'll be using photos I took in the past.

Slipping away to be with you under the night cherry blossoms

This... is the one I submitted for the 'Space Cup,' which was what got me started with haiku.
I was fearless, using irregular meter in only my second or third haiku ever.

Chasing your back as you walk down the path in full bloom

The song of petals that won't stop even when trampled, and the rain

Twilight, reaching out my hand toward flowers I cannot touch

Inside the bottle, the petals and I are fermenting
