[The Unofficial Chiyo Ohashi Award] Senryu Edition [Izayoi Cup]
I'm holding my own unofficial awards for the Izayoi Cup~.
This is not an official award, but a private one. Thank you for your understanding.
First, the Senryu edition.
I read and selected all the poems with the authors' names hidden.
The best part about Senryu is that anything goes, right☆
I chose them based on whether they made me burst out laughing, groan in admiration, or just chuckle...

Autumn summer days, flowers and women both bloom in madness

Oh man, this temperature difference really does make you go crazy...
I liked that it wasn't just the flowers, but the women blooming in madness too.
It's a poem full of vitality that goes all-in on the 'madness'.
Drinking the cherry tree, the new apartment building towers

The expression 'drinking' really struck a chord with me.
It's a poem that feels like it could give birth to a story, as if the inorganic apartment building is harboring something.

Trash day is how I keep track of the days in autumn

Since I started working remotely, I really do use trash day to keep track of the days of the week. Also, when raising children, you sometimes enter a world where you repeat the same days over and over. It gets confusing when Monday is a holiday, doesn't it?
My son says a subscription for a grave is fine

I'm the type who wants my ashes scattered, so I can kind of understand where this son is coming from. Grave styles are interesting because they reflect the characteristics of their era and culture. I'm not sure if "interesting" is the right word, though.
I suppose in countries like Japan and other Asian nations, it's common for families to share the same grave. In the West, it seems like individual graves are more common.
Perhaps it is a robot eating edamame

This is a verse that really brings a scene to mind. There are times when you just mindlessly eat edamame, aren't there?
My husband often drifts off into a world of fantasy and stares into the distance, and he'll just silently eat edamame while doing so.
At times like that, I end up having the same kind of daydreams as this verse lol

It's become so normal that we don't even notice it's warm, so it's a huge shock when it isn't, isn't it lol
