Self-Introduction: What I do on note
This is a self-introduction that gets updated occasionally.
I'm Chiyo Ohashi. It's my maiden name, but I'm using it as my professional name.
My name is written as 'Chiyo' (知誉) in kanji, but since it gets misread so often, I usually write it in hiragana.
I sometimes use the kanji version on other novel sites, but there's no deep meaning behind it.
I sometimes think it's nice that the kanji makes it harder to tell my gender.
I started note to write novels.
I've had a story in my head for a long time, but since no one was reading it, it wasn't progressing. I decided to take the plunge and write it while publishing it, which is how I started note.
The pandemic also played a part.
This is it.
It might be finished soon.
☆It is now complete☆
It's a story about being in a dream you can't escape from, no matter how many times you wake up.
The theme is chaos. You go on a journey to explore the origins of the universe with the young protagonist.
The basis for this story was a scenario for an RPG I was making myself on my computer.
I came up with and made a game about going to save a girl trapped in a dream, but it turned out to be aterrible gamewhere you couldn't progress without knowing the plot, so I decided to turn it into a novel instead.
It might be a little boring at first, butplease trust me and try reading up to about 004.
I think it will get interesting.
Each chapter is roughly 2,000 to 5,000 characters.
I also write many short stories.
Stories bubble up like water from a spring.
So much so that I can't write them down fast enough.
Most of my one-shot novels are around 10,000 to 40,000 characters.
This is the story I most want people to read.
↑I poured all of my views on humanity into this one.
As you can see, I write a lot of sci-fi and fantasy.
They might be a bit long to read on note, but I use my full imagination to try and blow your minds.
Or rather, the stories I write are basically a collection of my personal quirks.
Please take a look.
I also write short-shorts.
For those who say, 'I can't read 10,000 characters!', I also have short-shorts that are about 400 to 2,000 characters long.
They are mostly sci-fi, fantasy, and surreal.
Please enjoy them to kill some time.
I make music.
I am the vocalist of a band.
It's called GENZ.
So, my face is all over the internet. I can't run or hide.
On note, I mainly post songs under my personal name.
When I'm working solo, I sometimes use the name systemo-c.
I don't perform live very often, so I basically use DTM for music production. I've been doing it for a needlessly long time.
My musical style leans towards fantasy for vocal tracks and sci-fi for instrumentals.
I also enjoy various collaborations.
Let's make music together!
I also enjoy taking public domain classics and giving them cosmic arrangements.
My world of poetry
I also write poetry.
Since I make music, I also write lyrics.
Influenced by the people I met after starting note, I've also started composing haiku and tanka.
What I keep in mind in the world of poetry is not to pin down the imagery.
Depending on how they are used, words can clearly convey my intentions or meanings, so I try to avoid that when writing poetry.
So that it can be interpreted in different ways depending on the reader.
I do not define the world.
I hope that people will feel free to imagine various things, thinking, 'It might be this way,' or 'It might be that way...'
Also, I think it's okay to have a world where the nonsensical remains nonsensical, where things don't have to add up, and where there is no need to read between the lines.
Because there is no order in the chaos of the world.
I draw pictures
I draw pictures on a whim. Basically, I use analog pen drawings.
I think I like turning the worldviews of stories into pictures.
I post more of my drawings on X or Instagram.
I am a story addict
I lean especially toward sci-fi and fantasy... I would die if I weren't constantly consuming massive amounts of stories.
For the past few years, I've been watching so much anime that even I am taken aback.
I write reviews, but since there are so many, I keep that account separate.
To all my fellow anime lovers, please feel free to interact with me there as well.
It's not just anime; there was a time when I read novels like crazy.
I especially like Stephen King and Arthur C. Clarke.
I want to do an Arthur C. Clarke feature sometime.
I also watch quite a few foreign dramas.
My brain, which has stories gushing out like water, is built this way.
It's all about continuing to consume massive amounts of stories.
I like listening to music
Occasionally, I introduce music based on various themes.
Please use them as a reference.
Basically, I like rock.
I listen to pretty much anything, but I like psychedelic worldviews.
I write dream diaries from time to time
I have outrageous dreams.
These are some of my favorites.
I've studied a lot about dreams because they are mysterious, but in the end, I think most of them are "deeply meaningful but actually mean nothing at all..."
Even if you read too much into them, they actually mean nothing... they are just chaos... That is my current view.
Trivia and random thoughts
I also occasionally write column-like pieces.
Things like trivia or recommendations for anime.

About parenting
I have two children.
I also occasionally write articles related to parenting.

I have basically lived with an All OK stance, but I am currently re-evaluating the true meaning of All.
About diversity
The fact that there are people who are not included in the "everyone" of the commonly cited diversity concept, "everyone is different and everyone is good"...
My belief in "everyone is different and everyone is good" hasn't changed, but I have learned that if you are going to say that, you must have the resolve to back it up.
"Diversity" includes things that don't align with your own values, things you think are ethically wrong, and things you simply cannot accept no matter what.
For example, if there were a murderer in "everyone," could you still say "everyone is different and everyone is good"? If you cannot say this, I believe you should not use the word diversity lightly.
There are things in this world that you simply cannot understand or accept.
There are people who seem completely unreasonable.
There are people you cannot reach an understanding with, no matter how much you talk.
But you know, to those people, our justice might be evil.
There are cases where what we think is important is completely irrelevant to the other person.
And the reverse is also true.
There is no absolute right answer in this world.
For example, I find myself struggling with the question of whether it is truly 'correct' to say that 'murderers are evil and must be excluded from society'...
They might harm others, or they might kill someone precious to me.
I think it is only natural that we cannot coexist with them in today's society.
However, I feel a sense of fear in labeling their exclusion as 'the right thing to do'.
After all, there are people who might replace 'murderer' with 'person with a disability'.
In even narrower worlds, there are people who try to exclude others just for things like 'not being able to read the room'.
When that happens, one person after another ends up not being allowed into the 'everyone' group.
You would think that's not right, wouldn't you??
It makes me feel uneasy that when it comes to things like murderers, they are suddenly treated differently.
Murderers, people with Down syndrome, and LGBTQ individuals are all minorities. The idea that murderers are bad because they harm people is...nothing more than a perspective based on a single yardstick.
The boundary between what is acceptable and what is not is ambiguous.
I can no longer make that kind of sorting...
The story that reflects this swirling thought process is here.
I wish I could have written the characters more thoroughly, but ensemble dramas are difficult.
But it was a story that allowed me to think about various aspects of diversity as I perceive it.
Well, anyway, I'm at the point where I think that if you don't assume your own sense of justice or common sense is like crap, you'll end up looking uncool...
I might actually face various forms of discrimination from now on, but I feel like I might not be able to keep myself together unless I keep my mind wide open like this.
Also, I need a certain level of nonchalance to be able to brush off whatever people say with a 'Whatever, shut up lol'.
Being too serious or too grave is no good.Humor saves the world.
Always keep things interesting and funny, no matter what.
I've digressed, but that's how I feel about parenting and diversity.
My worldview
Since I was small, I've had the feeling that this world is fake.
Like, I don't belong to this world...
This feeling might be a concept common to all humanity, and such worldviews appear in various religions.
That said, I view faith and religion as just one of the concepts for understanding this world. Science is in the same category.
Just as there was a time when Feng Shui determined how the world worked, I think that in this day and age, using the yardstick of science to understand the world is simply the mainstream.
There are many things in this world that science cannot explain, and I believe that if we look at them through a different yardstick, their logic might become clear.
When I say things like this, people sometimes think I'm very spiritual, but I am not religious at all.
I am interested in that kind of world, and I do think that way of understanding the world is valid too.
The concept that resonates with me the most is Buddhist philosophy. But I am not a Buddhist.
I also like the concepts of quantum mechanics.
Ultimately, as for how I perceive this world, I believe thatthis world is a simulated reality.
In other words, the idea that the world we currently think is reality is actually a virtual reality.
The moment someone strikes a match. That might be what this universe is.
After all, they say this universe was suddenly born out of nothing...
The stories I write will probably all end up here.
That is all for now.
I'm a person with many interests, but I look forward to getting to know you.
Feel free to ask any questions.
