[BT9/10] Midnight Despair
The obstetrics clinic I was hoping for is filling up, and I suddenly started to panic.
By the evening, only next weekend was available, and I thought...
What if all the delivery slots get booked up by then?
I'll just do a test early, and if it's positive, I'll book the appointment!
So I went home and did an early test on impulse.
Then, a faint line appeared.
So I decided to go ahead and book the appointment for next weekend.
At that point, it was technically BT9, and I felt the line was a bit faint for that...
But Gemini-kun says that happens sometimes, and I had various symptoms like abdominal pain, lower back pain, and breast tenderness,
so I thought, 'Well, it must be positive after all!'
But then I thought, 'A week until the OB appointment is a long time...' and while checking the site repeatedly,
a cancellation appeared on the night of the test day, and a slot opened up!!!
I mean, I know it's early, but I figured I might as well go.
I fell asleep thinking maybe this was just fate,
but I woke up in the middle of the night with abdominal pain.
I couldn't tell if it was just a normal stomach ache or lower abdominal pain...
I felt the urge to go to the bathroom, but nothing much came out.
If it hurt this much, I should have had a full bowel movement...
When I saw my face in the bathroom mirror, I was so pale I was shocked; I thought I saw a ghost.
I kept lying down in the hallway in front of the bathroom, sitting on the toilet when the pain came,
and finally, I had a massive bowel movement, and the pain ended.
By the way, this level of pain is something I've experienced once every few years in the past.
Still, I can't help but have a bad feeling about this.
It did implant, at least,
but I don't know if this is what they call a chemical pregnancy or what.
I haven't had any bleeding yet, so I'm not sure.
The darkness of the positive line on the test I took before bed last night
and the one I took this morning are about the same.
I was hoping it would get darker by the day after tomorrow, so that's another source of anxiety lol
(Though I did empty my bowels in the middle of the night, so I don't think the concentration was as high as a normal morning test.)
By the way, I've had a slight lower abdominal pain since I woke up today.
Yesterday's pain was so bad that I was worried, 'Is that pain coming back again...?'
but it seems to be totally fine.
Since then, I've had a tingling sensation in my lower abdomen from time to time.
I've had dull aches before, but maybe this tingling is a first.
What on earth is happening inside my stomach lol
I've heard that hormonal imbalances can cause gastrointestinal issues and abdominal pain,
or maybe I just got a simple case of food poisoning.
Well, no matter how much an amateur like me researches, I won't know for sure,
so I guess I'll just quietly wait for tomorrow's test result.
If it goes well, I'm lucky; if not, I'll thank the clinic and
get ready to try for a second round! That's the feeling, I suppose.
Luckily, today is a work-from-home (a.k.a. slacking off) day,
so I think I'll spend the whole day playing the new Pokémon content.
Well, stay tuned to see what happens at tomorrow's test result (?)
