"Non Non Biyori" is an anime from over 10 years ago that depicts a laid-back daily life set in the lush, natural countryside.

One of the anime recommendations my second son gave me when he came home to visit.✨

I heard that this is the setting for the school the characters attend, and
as someone who hikes the low mountains in Ogawa Town,
I feel a huge sense of closeness to it.🥰

Honestly, at first, I was worried about whether it would even work as an anime given the premise,
but...💦

Not at all!🤭

Every time I finished an episode, I felt an indescribable sense of happiness,💕
and the warm, fuzzy afterglow lasted forever.✨✨

I finished watching all 13 episodes in the blink of an eye.(*≧∀≦*)

The story centers on "Asahigaoka Branch School," which has only five students in total.
It depicts the heartwarming daily lives of the elementary and middle school students who attend this tiny school.

Hotaru Ichijo (Hotarun), a fifth-grader who moved from the city, meets her unique friends—first-grader Renge Miyauchi (Ren-chon), first-year middle schooler Natsumi Koshigaya (Nattsun), and second-year middle schooler Komari Koshigaya (Koma-chan)—and grows little by little through the seasonal events unique to the countryside.

The small wonders in casual daily life, the atmosphere of the countryside, the slowly flowing time...

The idyllic scenery is wonderful, of course, but
I really love the relationship between these four.😂

The four girls, ranging from first grade of elementary school to second year of middle school,
show off their individual personalities without holding back at all,
and they naturally help each other out without any pressure.🥰

The characters other than the four also add their own flavor,
and they really paint a wonderful, heartwarming daily life.💛

It's a heartwarming slow-life anime that I want people who live busy lives to watch.☺️
