1. Partial revocation of business scope for CCC-certified designated testing laboratories in 9 product categories
The Certification and Accreditation Administration of the People's Republic of China recently conducted capability assessments for existing designated testing laboratories in 9 categories, including circuit breakers, small low-power motors, automotive safety glass, automotive seat belts, external lighting and light signaling devices, indirect vision devices for vehicles, child seats and headrests, drive recorders, and reflective markings for vehicle bodies among others.
Based on regulations such as the "Certification and Accreditation Regulations of the People's Republic of China" and the "Administrative Measures for Compulsory Product Certification Bodies and Testing Laboratories," the results of the capability assessments for designated testing laboratories in these 9 categories have now been published.
The published content includes a list of CCC-certified designated testing laboratories and a list of those whose business scope has been partially revoked.
2. China's auto exports up 57% year-on-year in July
According to Cui Dongshu of the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA), China's total automobile exports from January to July 2026 reached 6.4 million units, a significant increase of 64% compared to the same period last year. Specifically, in July:
Export volume: 1.092 million units
Year-on-year increase: 57%
Month-on-month increase: 2%
marking a high growth rate. The total value of automobile exports from January to July 2026 was $110.8 billion, up 55% year-on-year. The export value of complete vehicles for the month of July alone was $19 billion, an increase of 60% year-on-year and 4% month-on-month.
This performance exceeded the trend observed between 2023 and 2025, where exports typically peaked in May each year.
3. SERES subsidiary Chongqing Phoenix Technology increases registered capital by 11 times
According to the corporate information service "Tianyancha," SERES subsidiary Chongqing Phoenix Technology Co., Ltd. recently underwent a change in its industrial and commercial registration, with its registered capital increased from 50 million yuan to 550 million yuan. This represents a growth rate of 1,000%.
