The Result of Someone Who Avoided Social Media Starting to Post
Honestly, I had a dislike for the world of social media, and I was the type who found it too much trouble to even post.
It felt like the internet was full of illusions...
People trying to outdo each other.
People clashing over their need for validation.
A shallow world where "looking good" is prioritized over "being real."
I even felt it was ridiculous to be desperate to post for such things, so I looked at it from a distance.
But one day, I thought about it.
To achieve the future I want,
I need a place to share my thoughts.
So, for work,
as a means to promote my consulting,
I started because I had no other choice.
At first, it was just a sense of duty.
I wasn't enjoying it from the heart.
But you know, as I continued,
something started to change little by little.
There were heartwarming posts and posts I could learn from,
and someone liked or commented on my posts, even though I was a nobody.
That made me happier than I expected.
Social media wasn't a cold place.
There were many warm people there.
At first, I wasn't very active because I'm not good at reaching out to others.
I'd think things like, "It would be sad if I were ignored..." or,
"I want to comment, but... what should I write?"
I was creating distance on my own.
But one day, it just hit me.
What am I saying?
Just go for it already!
What are you waiting for, you idiot? That's what I thought.
So what if I get ignored?
They're just strangers I've never even met anyway.
If I've decided to do this and want to reach the future I desire, nothing will start unless I take the initiative myself.
So, I decided.
I will reach out to people I'm drawn to without hesitation.
I will properly express my "likes" myself.
It's true that there are many lies on social media.
But there are also many people who are genuinely sincere.
People who post their true feelings
have passion in their words.
Their kindness and their pain come across as real.
I think that's really wonderful.
Being able to get to know such people
is the happiest thing that has happened to me lately.
The internet world was much warmer than I had thought.
“Posting” isn't just about broadcasting information.
I believe it’s something that can quietly light a fire in someone’s heart.
I want to deliver words like that, too.
Not with manufactured, perfect words,
but with honesty and reality,
human and just as I am.
