Short Story | The Detour's Correct Answer / A Story Like Poetry
The path I didn't choose back then,
was breathing quietly deep inside my heart all along.
I might have been wrong,
I might have been behind,
every time I thought that, my footing would waver a little,
but for every moment I was lost, the scenery grew richer.
The time I spent standing still,
and the afternoon I turned back,
it wasn't that they produced nothing.
They were properly cultivating the strength to choose again.
It doesn't have to be the shortest way.
It doesn't have to be a straight line.
There are words I could only pick up,
on the path that took a detour.
That is why I am standing here today.
This place I chose while feeling lost,
I gently affirm.
So that I may know,
that it was my own way of finding the right answer.
I am weaving small stories called [Stories Like Poetry].
If today's story touched your heart,
──that alone makes me happy. Thank you.
I will continue to gently put the light and shadows of our days into words.
