[Huge Response] Instant Practicality! Marketing Course for Beginners

Good morning, this is Chiharu.

Last week, I held the monthly study session for UP, the side-hustle community for care managers that I run.

The September study session was "Instant Practicality! Marketing Course: A Complete Guide for Beginners" by President Darewata, who is active as a business consultant and marketer while also working as a Tokyo Metropolitan Government official.

This study session was made possible after I requested President Darewata, who has learned marketing, copywriting, and behavioral psychology through overwhelming action and provides numerous consultations, to "please teach marketing in a way that even beginners can understand."
(I think I was quite bold to make that offer myself. Haha)

Despite his extremely busy schedule, President Darewata gave a very easy-to-understand lecture that covered all the basics of marketing, specifically for beginners.
(The materials were a massive 109 pages! Wouldn't this sell like crazy if it were turned into a book as is...)

There are various methods in marketing such as SWOT analysis, 3C analysis, 4P/4C analysis, STP analysis, and PEST analysis (I don't fully understand them all either), but this time, instead of these analytical methods, we were taught super practical and essential know-how and thinking.

I have also studied marketing vaguely or by imitating others, but I was glad to be able to learn it systematically again this time, and I also set a goal to "study this area more in the future."

For example, regarding tips for posting, he talked about a "storytelling strategy."
He said that telling stories using the KKSK strategy is effective.
KKSK stands for "Emotion," "Conversation," "Thought," and "Action."
By incorporating these into your stories, you can trace the reader's emotions, which leads to building a fan base, right?

We received many comments from the participants, so I will introduce some of them.

President Darewata's explanation was precise and easy to understand, and the first half in particular was very impactful!
To take a business from 0 to 1, I felt that if I applied yesterday's explanation to myself as it is, it would be easy to do.

I work in the medical field, so I had absolutely no knowledge of management or marketing. I thought about studying it, but I prioritized acquiring the necessary knowledge for treatments and procedures, so I hadn't been able to do it.
While it is important to learn by reading books on your own, it is a high hurdle that I hadn't been able to tackle, so I am grateful that Chiharu-san planned this and gave me the opportunity to learn.
President Darewata stood from the perspective of a beginner and explained things carefully using easy-to-understand language and analogies, so I was able to understand.
I wouldn't have been able to learn this much from marketing books on my own, so I am grateful to have learned it in a short hour.
The slides were beautiful and easy to see, and it was a comfortable lecture where I was enchanted by President Darewata's calm voice that made me want to keep listening, and Chiharu-san's soft, enveloping, and gentle voice that bridged the gap between the lecture and the students by talking to us and digging deeper during the lecture.♡

The seminar was super useful! It was fun!
If it weren't for Chiharu-san's approach to President Darewata and her coordination of this space, I wouldn't have known President Darewata, and I would have remained ignorant about marketing.
I answered the survey and received the excerpt version. It's 45 pages long! I will absorb the marketing content thoroughly once more using the archive and the excerpt version.

Thank you very much for holding such a wonderful meeting today.
This session gave me the opportunity to improve something I had been stuck on and take immediate action♪
I would also like to thank you again for the prompt distribution of the materials.

I am really glad I participated in President Darewata's marketing course.
The concrete examples were easy to understand, and even though it was my first time taking a marketing course, I was able to understand it smoothly.
I was also impressed by the speed of Chiharu-san's actions, who uploaded the video and contacted us immediately despite the lecture being late at night.
I would like to participate in future study sessions as well, so I look forward to working with you then.

I learned a lot! My note-taking wouldn't stop lol
Thank you for inviting me to such a very beneficial seminar!
I am thinking about whether I can create a product that utilizes my website production skills, and I feel like I got some hints for that. (I am currently organizing my thoughts!)

Thank you for the information about this wonderful seminar.
Also, thank you for your hard work in organizing it!
It was a smooth operation, and it was a calm management style unique to Chiharu-san, whom I always see on Fan-Biji.
I'm sure it's often difficult to hold these kinds of seminars every time, but it's amazing that you continue to do so.
I hope to continue learning from you in many ways in the future.

I received the archive, so I watched it again from the beginning yesterday!
I thought marketing would be taught from a theoretical perspective,
but the content was extremely practical and filled with concrete examples from President Darewata, so there were several things that made me think, "Can I do this myself?"
I will use this as a reference for the future!!

President Darewata was amazing for explaining 109 pages in one hour,
but Chiharu-san's facilitation was also incredibly good.
Because the content was so dense, it could easily have become a one-way street with packed explanations, but by Chiharu-san occasionally interjecting, it loosened the atmosphere in a good way, and I learned a lot from your consideration to make it interactive!!

Thank you for your posts on your blog and Stand.fm as well!

For this study session, we sent out a survey form to the participants, and those who responded will receive a gift of an excerpt from our super-comprehensive slide deck.
(It seems a significant number of people have already responded to that as well.)

However, what really moved me was that, in addition to answering the survey, so many people sent me thoughtful messages with their feedback, or shared their thoughts on their blogs or Stand.fm.

Of course, I am grateful that President Darewata accepted my offer despite his busy schedule, and I am truly thankful to be surrounded and supported by such wonderful people, including the community members and those who joined from outside, all of whom have been so warm and considerate.
Thank you, as always.

The next UP study session will be on October 26th. Here are the details.

This time, it's not just a regular seminar.
We will be inviting Oharu-san, who took her original talent for design and leveled it up by studying in a specialized course, to provide design critiques.

If you are involved in information dissemination or side businesses, I'm sure you have experience creating simple images using tools like Canva, and she will be teaching us tips to take those designs to the next level!

We will be accepting submissions for designs you would like critiqued in advance, and 5 people chosen by lottery will have their designs critiqued by Oharu-san during the seminar.
I will share more details soon, so please look forward to it.

In addition, UP holds mini-seminars and projects in addition to our monthly study sessions, which are also open to external participants.
Most recently, we are planning:
A mini-seminar on how to turn audio content into blog posts using AI
